Thank you to everyone who is reading this story. I'm sorry it has taken so long to post a new chapter, but this one ended up being kind of long. So, yay! You get two parts. Let me know what you think. Planning on 2 more regular chapters and an epilogue. We'll see. All the best! Amanda

"Last time I checked, we don't pay you for you to nap on the job."
Jason said to Francis as he walked into Alexis' lake house and saw the hulking man sitting in an overstuffed chair with his head down.
"I'm not asleep." He said to his boss's partner, Jason Morgan. "I'm making a decision."
When Jason got closer he saw that Francis was actually staring down at his cell.
"I came by to drop off the girls' camping equipment before heading over to see Morgan. Where's Alexis?"
"She's napping. I think." Francis answered, distracted.
"What's going on with you? You said, you are making a decision?"
"Yeah, I'm trying to think what to tell Ms. Davis." He shook his head in disbelief. How could this happen again?
"Tell her what?"
"This is just the second time I've made her late for taking her medicine this weekend and last time she was throwing up and in pain." Francis stood up, starting to pace.
"Medicine for what?"
"First, I couldn't find an open pharmacy the other night. Then, the Boss sends me home with Ms. Davis because I know everything that's been going on with her health. Anyway, when we got here from the hospital, I helped her inside. She was really weak and pretty dizzy. She looked pale, but she said she was just tired. She took her medicine and then she told me that she was going to change and get some sleep. She said she would set an alarm to wake up, and I set one, too. I did. She said that she knew I was supposed to be keeping her company, but that we had all been up for almost two days and if I wanted to watch TV or take a nap myself, she wouldn't tell the boss. I told her I'd be fine, but I actually did fall asleep about an hour ago, and my alarm didn't go off. I think I might have hit the stopwatch. Damn. This was not a great weekend for so many of the guys from the detail to be off out of town."
"We'll let you start making the schedule." Jason replied with a smirk. "I think Ms. Davis' tendency to ramble has rubbed off on you this weekend. Did you check on her?"
"No, she has such class, and she's a really private person. I didn't want to wake her if she was sleeping. If her alarm didn't go off either, and she's sick again because I messed up or ...""You're scared of getting the stomach bug? She should almost be over that - right? It's been 48 hours. She shouldn't be contagious."
Francis tried to shake the fog out of his head, everything was a blur.
"The stomach bug?"
"Francis, what the hell is going on? What kind of meds did she miss taking?"
"Nausea and pain medicine."
"For?""Listen, I'm just a bodyguard. I didn't go to medical school."
"You watch and hear every . . . Never mind. I'll check on her so I can let Sonny know how she's doing when I get to the hospital."
"You can't just walk in there ..."
"Why not?" He asked as he walked back over to the man who seemed not only sleep deprived but way too anxious for his liking.
"She's a lady?" How was he going to help Mr. Corinthos and Ms. Davis keep the secret about her illness, to keep their bubble of information intact.
"I can call Sam."
