Chapter 88

Optimus sighed gently with a smile. "Don't be upset, Azura. That was an accident. And it is easy to clean." Optimus gently picked the sparkling up, while Ratchet grabbed some cleaning supplies. "I will give you a quick bath before we go. Otherwise it will dry and stick to your body, making it harder to come off." Azura whimpered as she felt horrible for causing a small delay. "Do not worry, Azura. Accidents happen. You were just too excited to notice where your arms were, that is all. Even I have caused accidents."

"You have? I...I don't think I've seen you make a mistake," Azura responded as she thought about it.

"I have. You probably don't think of it, because our relationship has grown so much. Of course, that was not really an accident, but a bad decision on my part." Azura frowned as she knew exactly what he meant. "But as for general accidents, that might be true. You have not seen me cause them. But I have. Even as a Prime." She was curious to know what kind of accidents he might have, especially as it seemed they were far and few between. Optimus could see she was curious as he walked out of the lobby to go to her room to bathe her. "If you would like to know...I had unintentionally caused the sprinkler system of this base to go off when we were making modifications to this former silo. And we weren't aware it had one until then."

"How did you set it off? It needs smoke for the sprinkler system to be set off." Azura glanced up as she could see that heads of the sprinklers spread around the base, and she never knew they had been set off at some point. "Did you step on something?"

"Yes. While we were modifying the base, there had been some kind of vehicle humans use to get around the silo without walking, though I am not familiar with the name." Azura raised an eyebrow and immediately guessed when happened. "I had not been aware of it until I had stepped on it while assisting Ratchet with the energon fuel line, and stepping on it caused a minor flame. But it was enough smoke to trigger the sprinkler system."

Azura smiled and let out a light giggle. "That sounds quite normal. It happens to everyone. Stepping on something by accident just happens when you least expect it. Luckily, no one was hurt. You just ended up getting drenched." She could imagine the bots would have all been shouting about it too, and they probably wouldn't have blamed Optimus if they did not see it. "How long did it take for the sprinkler system to shut off?"

"We were able to have Fowler help, as he was present when the accident occurred. The man was unfortunately drenched from the accident." She giggled again as she could immediately imagine the man's reaction. "It took five minutes before he could shut it off. He had quite a few words to say to us afterwards, as I am sure you can imagine he did not appreciate getting his clothes drenched. But we made sure there was no other leftover vehicles sitting around after that."

Azura was quite amused by the story, and she completely understood what he had been saying. "I guess you are right that accidents can and do happen. Even you cause accidents." He nodded affirmatively. "Well...I guess you are right that I shouldn't be upset about the paint...I guess I am more upset because we have to spend time to get my body cleaned before we go. And I know we would be at the Arctic right now if I didn't knock the paint."

Optimus hummed gently in amusement at the sparkling's reasonings. "I know. It might take a bit of time, but fear not, Azura. It will not take long." He walked into her room and made his way over to the bathroom. "After all, the paint has not dried yet. Even I need to wash my hands." Azura knew that too, and she felt bad, but at least it will be easy to wash. "While we would be in the Arctic right now, I want you to remember that you may not be able to achieve creating the cavern for us."

"I know. I haven't forgotten. I am going to put my all into it though!" Azura looked at the bathroom as Optimus walked towards it and she looked back at him. "I will admit...it will be kind of scary to see how...powerful my abilities are. Mostly because I know so little of the dragon who helped the Primes...though she must have been strong if her power is part of the Matrix..."
