The soft knock on the door woke White up again. Rolling over to the side to get a better view of the entrance, White waited for the intruder to open the door. 

"Are you awake?" Black's head peeked through the gap. 

"Hmm." White hummed, confirming his brother's suspicion. His twin scanned him from head to toe, striding towards the bed.  

"Is it okay to lay like this?" He pointed at his shoulder. Blinking away the sleepiness, White nodded. 

"I am not lying on it." He shrugged. Black sat beside him, carefully ruffling his hair. White leaned into the touch, letting affection from his brother melt all the bad things away. White knew very well why his twin interrupted his sleep. The talk with Officer Dan couldn't be postponed anymore. 

"Are you awake enough to talk with Dan?" 

"Depends." White huffed, playing dumb. Black didn't know that he had heard the conversation earlier. 

"On what?" Black's eyebrow raised. 

"If you give me back my glasses or not." White shifted closer, blinking rapidly to make his point. 

"Should I?" Black teased him back. They erupted in a fit of laughter like when they were little boys. 

"If you don't feel like talking with him, you don't have to." Black returned to his serious self. White appreciated his concern, but he had to do it. 

"I can do it. Can you stay, though, please?" White pushed himself up, clinging to Black's arm. The older twin wrapped his arm around him reassuringly. 

"Of course I will." 

White nuzzled his head against Black's neck like a kitten, getting all the comfort he could. 

"What does P'Dan want to talk about?" 

"Father and Todd. Seems like the old ass wants to use the press to get you." 

White stiffened. So there was more they talked about while he fell asleep. 

"I don't think father would do it. Though he's trained to handle the press with prudence, it's still a big gamble, and I am not important enough for him to put his precious career at risk." He whispered the last part. Black tightened his grip on him.

"But you are important to me, and I won't let anyone take you away."
