"Can I come in?" Dan glanced inside the room. White clung to Black, not letting his move a single centimetre away. He knew he was acting like a baby again, but being attached to his older brother gave him the strength to face the fear. Talking about Todd and their father made his stomach turn.

"Yes." Black allowed the office to enter. White watched Dan walking in. He grabbed the chair from the old desk and placed it in front of them before sitting down. White shifted nervously. His glasses were back on his nose, but he wished they were not so that he wouldn't have to focus on the small notepad in Dan's hands. Of course, the policeman had to take notes.

"I won't lie, but your father met with a journalist. That person always cowers the articles about Todd. There's no doubt they work together. White, the situation doesn't look good. I don't want to presage anything, but we must prepare."

White nodded, snuggling closer to Black.

"Can you tell me about your father? How was he in Russia? Any questionable contacts?"

White closed his eyes, letting the memories from the past flow back. All the lunch and dinner meetings he was forced to attend appeared, followed by the ache and anxiety. He tried to recall the faces and names, but everything was one big blur.

"I don't remember anyone strange. Dad always met with high politicians and diplomats. Sometimes with a businessman." White whispered. The arm around his waist squeezed him assuredly.

"Any names?"

White shook his head.

"I don't know. I am sorry. There was a not-so-pleasant incident at one meeting, and my father was really disappointed. I was punished and couldn't focus at the gatherings after that." The tear escaped his eyes. He wanted to help Dan, but he just couldn't.

"It's okay, White. What about phone calls? Did he call anyone more often?"

White leaned his head on Black's shoulder, letting his twin kiss his hair repeatedly as he tried to think.

"Wait... He did call someone... I'm not sure about the name, though. I asked once. He got angry and told me it was not my business."

"Do you maybe remember what it was about?" Dan asked, writing something in the notepad.

"I remember it well. He invested in something, but it didn't go well." White shivered. Dan and Black looked at him curiously, and White knew he had to tell them about the beating he received after his father got news about the lost money. He closed his eyes briefly, recalling the night he ended up in an emergency room with a broken arm and bruises on his body. He caught a glimpse of his father's phone screen before he passed out.

"The number was Thai, and the name started with T..." He whispered.
