A trip to hell and back (Nick and charlie)

*Charlie's pov*
"Come on, we're leaving" i help Nick up and give him a hug we look at each other for a little too long before i take this hand and head for the park gates. I offer to take him home but he says no and takes me to a field about a 20 minute walk away. It's about 1am at this point so it was pitch black and the field was empty. "I'm sorry..." Nick says. I turn to him, "For what?" "For punching him, i just got so angry like he's already tried this and you've told him to leave you alone and i just can't stand to see that happen to you." I smile slightly and hug him, "It's okay, he definitely deserved it" Nick chuckles. "Come lay down with me", "Nick it's dirty" "I don't care." He lays down and pulls me down with him and i fall on top of him. "Nickkkkk!" He laughs and i flop next to him. "The stars are so beautiful." He says and looks at me. Your beautiful i think but obviously don't say "I could look at them forever" i choose to respond. We just lay there for a while and talk.

Once it hits 3am we decide to head back home. Nick walks me to mine and we say goodbye and i head inside. "You fancy him don't you?" i turn around and see Tori stood in the hallway. "What n-" "No need to lie Charles i won't tell anyone" she smirks, "thank you.." i hesitate. "When did you get home anyway" "I left just after you i tried to catch you and Nick i heard what happened..i had no idea about you and Ben i thought he was straight." "He's the boyfriend i told u about in january the one that you asked if he was a knob" "That's crazy" she replies. "Has he assaulted you before?" i look down to the ground and she realises she doesn't need a response and frowns. "You could have told me Charlie, you know i wouldn't have said anything and i could have helped you through it." "I didn't want to talk about it to be honest the only person that knows is Nick, the first time Ben assaulted me Nick seen and dragged Ben away and told him to piss off." "He's a good friend, he'd make a better boyfriend though." She smirks and begins to walk upstairs. "Shut up" i laugh, "You can always speak to me, you know where my door is" she says as she disappears into her room.

I check my phone and see a message from Nick.

"Thank you for helping me with the panic attack" -N

"Thank you for getting Ben off me" -C

"That was his last chance if he tries it again he's dead" -N
