"Thank you." Victoria said and she had finally found Connor who was back upstairs and he was looking over at her, before he shrugged. "I don't think that I could have handled that situation on my own." Victoria added.
"True. You are a Hydro, not an Electric. If you had tried to stop it, you could have been killed by your own kid accidentally." Connor pointed out as she was looking at him silently. "Did that sound too much like Garrett?" He asked as he turned to face her again and she nodded.
"A little bit, yeah." Victoria said and he nodded. "Are you okay?" She asked and he was lifting his eyebrows. "The last time that you did something like this, it was for your mom. Then you got dragged back into this mess and partially because of me, you lost Mina too..."
"Mina was not your fault." Connor interrupted as he walked over to her. "You let me have my space, you never bothered me, not once. Not even when shit got bad. If you had asked, I would have come running."
"Why would you have come running to help, if all you really wanted was space to be away from all of this?" Victoria asked as Connor tilted his head.
"Because you were the one asking." Connor explained as she was looking at him, before she smiled faintly.
"You almost had me." Victoria stated and Connor looked confused. "Between you and Jordan, you two strangely seem to be really determined to tell me, that I'm holding this entire team together."
"Because you are." Connor said and she scoffed audibly at the words. Connor caught her hand in his and then, a sharp zap went through her hand and then, she was looking down at their hands. "Come on, Victoria. You can't just ignore all of the evidence. You are a leader in this group, even if you really don't think that you are."
"Why do you care about it so much?" She wondered.
"I don't care about it, I care about you. Even if you still don't believe it." Connor said and she was looking at him. "You still have that feeling?" He asked and she nodded at the words.
"Yeah. If we all die doing this, well, then at least the kids are staying with Donnie." She muttered.
"Ever the pessimist." Connor replied and then, she glared over at him, before he was shrugging and she sighed, reluctantly agreeing with him and she was nodding quickly. "Something tells me that even if we all die, those kids will somehow all find a way to keep fighting."
"They have grown up in this life, Connor. I mean, they know nothing else." Victoria said and he nodded. "I think Garrett has got the car." She said as she walked over to the window.
"How do you know?" Connor asked and then, the horn was blaring out and Victoria laughed at the sudden sound. "Jordan?" He guessed.
"Jordan." Victoria replied and she was shaking her head, before she flipped off Jordan, who was swiftly waving at her sarcastically and Victoria rolled her eyes at her friend. "You have just got to love one of the last Ferrokinetic powers." Victoria said and she was grabbing her jacket, shaking the dust off of it and she put it on.
"Personally, I prefer Hydros." Connor said and Victoria rolled her eyes at the words as she made her way outside.
"Hit it." Connor said and when Garrett turned the key in the ignition, Connor's hand crackled with electricity and the engine rumbled to life.
"All right. Final go-over of the plan." Victoria said and Connor put the hood back down on the car.
"Garrett and I will distract King, we will be pretending to be union reps. Jordan and Pav will sneak into the garage to get the dog. You are our getaway driver and in the unlikely case that something goes wrong, you flood everything." Conner stated and Victoria was nodding. "Then, we get out of there with the dog, we get over to the Towers as fast as we can and then, the information is transferred to a computer. Then, King goes down and hopefully, we are all free." Connor said.
"There we go." Victoria said and then, she was tossing the keys over to Jordan. "You get the other car, so you don't puke all over us all." She said and then Jordan nodded swiftly, before she walked to the other car and she was driving off.
Victoria was not bothering to hide her laughter at the sight of Connor in the glasses that Garrett had found for him.
Connor stared at her in indignation and Victoria coughed, quickly attempting to stop her laughter entirely for his sake but she wasn't having much luck.
"I'm sorry, Con. But you look absolutely and completely ridiculous." Victoria coughed out the words, before she was finally able to regain control of herself.
"She isn't wrong." Pav remarked and Victoria had to forcibly stifle her laughter all over again before she just decided to get in the car.
"Really?" Connor asked Garrett and then simply, TK shrugged at the words.
"We need you to look smarter." Garrett replied and Connor rolled his eyes.
"Just get in the car." Connor replied with annoyance in his tone and Victoria shook her head at the antagonistic attitude and Pav was looking over at her.
