Lilith's pov

Kadence stood in the kitchen making coffee. Lily sat at the table. Cadell was at the castle today. Lily was eating eggs. I wrap my arm around Kadence's waist. She looked at me with a smile. I peck her lips before quickly dipping my head into her neck. I ran my tongue across her neck.

"Lilith!" Kadence whined. I chuckle lightly. My hand cups her face. "I thought we talked about this the other night?" my lips connect with hers. Kadence kissed me back immediately. Our lips moved in sync. Lily cleared her throat.

"Mother is still in the room," Lily says. I roll my eyes before pulling away. I smirk at Kadence.

"We did talk about it and to be honest with you, love. All I heard was the part where you say you love it," I say. Kadence hit my arm while shaking her head. She grabbed her coffee and sat down at the table across from her mother. I stand behind Kadence. I let out a yawn.

"Why are you tired?" Lily asked.

"She was out all night," Kadence grumbled. I smile at Lily and nod my head. Lily raised an eyebrow.

"You guys should have been there. Last night I..." I stop talking. I purse my lips. Kadence and Lily both look at me. "I realize you are not the right group to brag to," I say, rocking on the balls of my feet.

"What did you do?" Kadence asked. My ears pick up on the sound of someone approaching the house. I sniff the air before leaving the room. I open the door and see my dad. He was in his human form causing me to laugh.

"I'm sorry, you are such a dweeb. I almost didn't recognize you," I say. My dad glared at me before pushing past me. I shut the door before turning around. My dad wasn't behind me. I walk into the kitchen. My dad opened the bag he had. Kadence and Lily both stared at him with wide eyes. They both look at me questioningly.

"Oh, that's my dad," I say. Kadence bit her lip to keep from laughing. Kadence giggled trying to keep it in.

"I'm sorry," Kadence says laughing again. I join her laughter. My dad glared at me.

"If my human form looked like that I too would stay in my demon form all the time," I laugh. My dad took a deep breath before he started to zip up his bag. "Alright, I'm done laughing," I mutter. My dad narrowed his eyes on Kadence. She covers her mouth and sends him a thumbs up. My dad shifted into his demon form. Kadence dropped her hand.

"Much better," Kadence says. Lily jumped.

"Warn a lady next time," Lily muttered. My dad looked at her before tilting his head.

"Don't even think about it," I say before grabbing the bag from my dad. I put the jars on the table. Lily grimaced as she looked at them.

"Last night?" Lily asked. I nod my head with a smirk.

"Oh yeah. Xyla didn't last long after I showed up," I say. My dad pats my shoulder.

"Let me see her," Zoltan says. I raise an eyebrow.

"Why must you make it seem like it's a court approved visit but you don't really want to have the visit?" I asked. Zoltan looked at me before blinking. "I enjoy your presence too Zoltan," I hit his shoulder playfully. "Alright damn, don't need to be so pushy," I grumble before shifting. Zoltan smiles at Brezin.

"Zin," Zoltan says, wrapping his arms around us.

"You brought this back to us in a timely manner," Brezin says, turning the jars around with a smirk.

"Of course I did, you took up my space. I need room," Zoltan says. Brezin chuckles darkly before looking at her dad.

"Well, if you clean up more than once a month then you wouldn't have a space problem," Brezin states. Our hand lands on Kadence's shoulder. She jumped.

"I was half asleep. Don't scare me like that!" Kadence grumbles. She took a drink of her coffee.

"Pft, why are you so tired?" Brezin asked. Kadence glared at her. "Oh what's this?" Brezin picked up Kadence's mug.

"I don't think you want to-" Kadence cut herself off. Brezin already took a mouthful of coffee before spitting it out onto Lily.

"Really?" Lily shouts. Brezin and Zoltan laugh. I shift back before putting the mug down. I wipe my mouth with the back of my hand.

"Why would she do that?" I groan before I go to the sink. I turn it on and rinse my mouth out. After I was done I took a seat next to Kadence while whining. Kadence pats my leg.

"I'm gonna go kiddo," Zoltan says. I nod my head before holding out my fist. Zoltan bumped his fist against mine before leaving. Lily left the room to go shower. I lean on Kadence. Kadence made a whining noise.

"You didn't come back last night," Kadence mumbled. I sit up before pulling Kadence onto my lap.

"What did we talk about?" I asked. Kadence buried her head in my neck.

"That you weren't leaving me."

"So why are you acting like I tried to last night? I told you I would be back and I am," I say.

"Yeah, I didn't think you meant this morning. After a restless night without you," Kadence mutters. I rub Kadence's back.

"I'm sorry, love. I should have been more specific. This just means we can spend the rest of the day in bed together," I say standing up. Kadence wrapped her legs around my waist. I held her tightly so she wouldn't fall.

"We have school," Kadence says. I let out a groan.

"We are not going in," I say heading up the stairs. Kadence giggles before kissing my neck.

My eyes snap open when I hear movement in the room. My eyes land on my mom. She stood in front of me. I felt a pinch in my neck before my eyes shut.
