Lilith's pov

Nezera and Xena walked out of the meeting room. My cousins were still in the room. Nezera and Xena walk over to me. I raise an eyebrow at them.

"How did it go?" I asked. Nezera smiled at me.

"It went great. We start moving back in two weeks," Xena says excitedly. I nod my head.

"That's fantastic," I mutter. They both follow me up to my room. When I opened the door Tilly was in front of Kadence. The smell of blood filled the air. "What happened?"

"I dropped something so I went to bend over and pick it up then I turned and forgot the cupboard was open and the corner reopened the wound," Kadence says. I walk over to her. Tilly stepped away before standing near the door. After leading Kadence to the bathroom I wash the wound before I put a bandage on her stomach.

"You gotta be more careful, love," I say. Kadence rolled her eyes. She wrapped her arms around me.

"Lilith, I'm fine. You gotta relax," Kadence says. I wrapped my arms around Kadence. My head dips into her neck.

"I'll relax when you're healed," I say, kissing her neck. Kadence pulled away from me when I went to lick her mark. "Damnit Kadence." Kadence laughs as she leaves the room. My body leans against the doorframe as I watch her walk into the closet.

"I thought you didn't live here?" Xena asked. I look at the two women in my room.

"Once school gets out we'll be moving back. Occasionally on the weekends we stay here as of now," I mutter before sitting down on my bed.

"This is my first time being stabbed but how did you not flinch or react when you were pelted with like seven knives?" Kadence asked, walking out of the closet. She had a crop top on.

"I don't know," I shrug. Kadence narrowed her eyes on me. "Truly didn't have the need to react. You didn't even react for your first time being stabbed. I only knew something was wrong when your heartbeat sped up."

"We should play that knife game," Kadence says.

"No," I responded quickly. Kadence gasped before she closed the closet door. She stood in front of it as she looked at me.

"It's ok for you to throw knives at those other women but not me?" Kadence asked in disbelief. Nezera and Xena chuckle.

"Yeah it's more than ok. I'm not throwing knives at you Kadence," I say.

"Why the hell not?" Kadence questioned. I raise an eyebrow at her.

"Because I'm not purposefully hurting you with knives. It's different with those past women because I wanted to hurt them. I don't want to hurt you," I state.

"One day I'll get you to throw knives at me," Kadence says. I lick my bottom lip before smirking.

Without another word I leaned over the edge of the bed and pulled out the bottom drawer in the nightstand. It was full of my custom knives. Nezera and Xena look at me with wide eyes.

"Is this something we should leave the room for?" Nezera asked. I shook my head as I grabbed three knives.

"Why do you have a drawer full of knives?" Xena asked. I look at her.

"You don't question the trophies I have but the drawer full of knives you question?" I asked. Xena pursed her lips. I look at Kadence. She just stared at me. No indication of fear or being uncomfortable. I throw the first knife and it hits the door behind her. I throw the next two and they hit the door.

"You are missing on purpose," Kadence muttered. I gasp.

"I am not," I huffed. Kadence raised an eyebrow at me.

"I saw you throw ten knives into Xyla's body with your eyes closed in less than a minute," Kadence states. I smile before shrugging.

"I must have a better shot with my eyes closed," I smirked. Kadence crossed her arms over her chest. She was daring me to close my eyes. With a sigh I shut my eyes and throw two more knives. They hit the door causing me to open my eyes. "I must be rusty."

"Damnit, Lilith, quit holding -" Kadence stopped talking when I threw another knife and it grazed her ear. Kadence touched her ear. It was bleeding a little bit.

"Now move your ass away from the door," I say, causing Kadence to chuckle and move towards the bed. Tilly walked over to the door and pulled the knives out of the door. She walked over and put them in the drawer before taking the drawer from me and putting it back in the stand. Kadence walked over to me and I pulled her onto my lap.

"We gotta get back to our coven. We will see you soon," Nezera says. I nod my head.

"Tilly will see you out," I mutter. Kadence looked at me. "Do you know they are in their seventies?' I asked Kadence. Kadence's eyes widened.

"We're in our forties, you asshole," Xena grumbles. My eyes widened.

"Really?" I asked. Nezera rolled her eyes at me.

"You already know this, Lilith," Nezera laughs.

"I do but you should have seen Xena's face. She looked like she wanted to stab me," I laugh. Nezera looks at her beloved before wrapping an arm around her shoulder and pulling her out of the room. Tilly followed them out and shut the door behind her. My eyes go to Kadence. Her eyes were roaming over my face. She smiled when her eyes met mine. I lean in and peck her lips.

"I love you, Lilith," Kadence says. My smile widens.

"Oh, I know you do," I mutter with a smirk. Kadence narrowed her eyes.

"Oh you do?" She asked. I nod my head.

"I'm sure if you didn't love and trust me you wouldn't have let me throw knives at you," I mutter. Kadence chuckles.

"Yeah and if you loved me you wouldn't have actually cut me," Kadence sighed dramatically. I laugh lightly while kissing her forehead.

"I love you greatly, Kadence and I knew you wouldn't have moved unless I drew a little blood. So I'm sorry you are stubborn and caused me to draw a little blood," I say. Kadence hit my shoulder lightly. Kadence shook her head while smiling. My eyes go to her ear. It was still bleeding. "Can I?" I asked. Kadence nodded her head. I lean closer to her and lick the blood off her ear. Her blood was sweet. It was the best blood I've ever had. Her ear stopped bleeding.

"So how does your saliva always stop the bleeding?" Kadence asked. I look at her.

"There is something different in a vampire's saliva that has always been able to stop the bleeding. It's to keep the prey from continuing to bleed out after a vampire has fed," I state. Kadence nods her head.

"That's kinda cool."

"I guess it is cool. I never really thought of it like that."
