"Stop it Jason!" Caleb exclaimed dropping the damp sponge he was holding as water pelted onto him, Jason was smirking holding the bucket. They'd been scrubbing the bathroom walls and Jason was getting bored so had begun teasing Caleb.

"Make me elf" Jason challenged.

"You're on" Caleb answered picking up his own bucket and drenching Jason with it, Jason stared down at himself dripping wet, streams of water were flowing through his raven black hair and down his face.

"You're gonna pay for that" Jason whispered wrestling Caleb go the ground, Caleb giggled as they rolled over in the cramped, tiled bathroom floor.

Jason dabbed the sponge all over Caleb's face drenching it with the water the sponge had been holding, Caleb attempted to swat him away but was overpowered and couldn't stop his face being drenched. He laughed loudly as Jason leant back still soaking wet.

"You're so childish" Caleb snickered sitting up.

"Likewise" Jason replied with a small shrug, he helped Caleb up off the floor and they quickly finished the job, then they got changed into warmer, drier clothes.

"Hot chocolate?" Jason offered holding two mugs.

"Please" Caleb answered flopping down on the couch, he heard the machine whirring and a few minutes later Jason emerged with two hot chocolates.

"This is cozy" Caleb commented as they sipped at their hot chocolates enjoying each-others company.

Jason nodded in agreement leaning back with a small sigh. Things had been so hectic lately so it was nice for the pair to finally getting breather.

"You made hot chocolate without me?" Jayden exclaimed walking into the room and seeing the couple holding their respective mugs. His eyes travelled between them in jealousy.

"Make your own Jay" Jason replied offering Jayden a small smile, Jayden just rolled his eyes heading into the kitchen.

Suddenly a loud knock sounded at the door, sighing Caleb got up resting his mug carefully on the coffee table, clearly they weren't allowed to rest for even a minute. He then paced slowly over to the door and flung it open. To his horror two uniformed officers stood there with serious looks shadowing their faces.

"Is this the residence of Caleb Walters?" One of them asked sternly.

Caleb nodded, he'd always feared this. He was praying this was completely unrelated to what he did. They couldn't have found him after all this time...

"Are you Caleb Walters?" The officer then posited both of them staring intently at Caleb, Caleb remained silent. Not making a sound.

"Sir, You match his description. Can you confirm or deny if you are mr Walters?" The officer asked confidently.

"I am" Caleb whispered out his voice barely audible.

"You're under arrest, you have the right to remain silent, if you-" Caleb felt himself zoning out as handcuffs were pulled around his wrists, they interacted with the fresh cuts making his wrists begin to sting in pain.

"LET HIM GO" Jason yelled pushing past the door to stand next to Caleb protectively.

"Sir, he is under arrest for the murder of Mr Peter Walters, you must stand back" one of the officers called out putting a hand in front of Jason.

"What's happening?" Jayden's asked in bewilderment his eyes widening at the scene in front of him. Caleb turned to look at his little brother meeting his eyes, they shared the same beautiful brown eyes. Seeing Jayden's innocent eyes confirmed it to him, it was worth it. Killing his father was worth it, even now in this moment being handcuffed by cops in his own house. He'd done the right thing to protect his little brother.
