"All right. Now all you have to do is steam them for about forty minutes," I told them as I closed the pot. "After that, you let it cool down for a bit and then it'll be ready to serve." With that, I turned to them. "So... any questions?"

I look at them expectantly. There are about six of them, including Anqi. When they did not answer, I took it as if they already understood everything. I took off my apron and looked at my students proudly. Geez, I would make a good teacher - if only my patience is long.

"Very good, students!" I clasped my hands. "Because of that, you can eat five trays from our work," I announced.

Just like that, their exhausted faces brightened up with wide smiles. Anqi, being so ever dramatic, even went as far as to cling to my arm and fake cry. At least it managed to pull out some laughs from the others.

Although making flan seems so easy, it actually is very tiring. Especially the whisking part to make sure that everything comes out smoothly. It was not any help that we had to make so many batches to avoid all the milk from spoiling.

"Hey, Anqi. You can manage here, right?" I asked out as she slumped over a table.
"I think so... why?" She answered and shifted so her head was facing me.
"There's just something I have to check in the archive..." I excused with a smile.

"You? In the archive?" Her brows knotted as she looked at me suspiciously. "What has the world come into that you, Aihan, suddenly wants to go to that 'most unexciting place there is'?" She sat up slightly and air-quoted her last words.

I could feel the heat coming up to my face before I rolled my eyes. "Just because..." I stated and threw a washcloth to her face. "So, can I?"

"Disgusting," she gagged as she picked the cloth off her face and glared at me.
"I'll sneak you an extra tray of flan," I offered and wiggled my brows.

Just like that, she was sold and I happily skipped out of the busy kitchen. My plan is simple, find out more about Lanmei's story, find out where that blue flower portal thingy can be found, and hopefully, it would send me back to where I came from.

And who knows much about all those things except for Lin Fan? Sure, there might not be any written information, but she is a bookkeeper. For sure she has an interest in those things, too, right?

The whole place seems to be extra busy today. From clearing up all the decorations from last night's events to making sure that not one thing was out of place. The only thing was that everyone seemed to be so happy. I guess they are still drunk on what happened.

The weather is pretty nice, too. Most of the blue sky is covered in thin wisps of clouds, shielding us from the usual blinding rays that come with the late morning sun. It kept the whole place cool and refreshing enough. The layers of clothes I was wearing didn't even bother me at all.

It was not long before I found myself walking along the path towards the archive. I, thankfully, did not come across any mean person this time around, unlike the last time when I was called a 'dull-witted moron'. I'm still annoyed by that girl by the way. I hope she did get that mean papercut.

"Lin Fan! I'm here!"

I walked through the door with a loud announcement. A wide grin was painted on my face as I stood there in the doorway. I expected Lin fan's loud voice to greet me back, but I was instead met with nothing but pure silence. Brows starting to meet together, I looked around in confusion. The knot on my face only deepened as my eyes landed on the girl sitting on one of the tables.

"Has no one ever told you to be silent in an archive?" As usual, her face was free from any emotions as she looked at me. "And here I thought you cannot possibly be more moronic."
