"Just tell us where that metal-head is, sir." One of the clones stood up. I couldn't help but feel a small smile pull at the corner of my lips. The answer was definitely excitement.
"Yeah. We've been waiting for a chance to take him out." The man next to him stood up, expressing the same amount of excitement. The small group quickly agreed with the two that stood.
"Alright, men. Settle down." Anakin shushed them, not without a slightly amused chuckle in his voice. "This is an important mission." He continued, once the two were sat back down in their seats. "We destroy Grievous, we can bring the war to a quicker end. Pilots, prepare your bombers." With that all the men stood from their seats, heading off to get ready for departure.
"Skywalker, this is an aggressive plan." Master Plo commented.
"That's Anakin for you." I grinned, Master Plo glancing my way but ultimately chose to ignore me.
"Are you sure your squadron can complete this mission?"
"Let's ask them." Anakin decided. "Matchstick." He called for one of the men who were just seated at the debriefing. The clone turned upon hearing his name. "You think our boys can pull it off?"
"Yes, sir." He responded immediately. "There hasn't been a mission Shadow Squadron couldn't complete."
"Good to know." I nodded at the men.
"Minimal casualties, maximum effectiveness. That's us." The clone to his left spoke up, nodding curtly to agree with Matchstick.
"I admire your confidence, pilot." Master Plo commended them. "Even so, minimal casualties may be enough to prevent you from breaking Grievous' defences."
"Master Plo is right." Ahsoka spoke up. "With Grievous on that ship's bridge, it's bound to be well-protected."
"Don't worry, Ahsoka." Anakin reassured her. "We'll destroy that bridge and Grievous along with it."
"Still you could use the help." I shrugged, a smile growing on my face.
"Are you sure you're up to it?" Anakin questioned me, frowning his brows ever so slightly.
"You couldn't get rid of me if you tried. I can only offer my assistance, my men aren't pilots. R7 and I will join you, if you'll have us." I explained to him, deciding to not answer his question directly. I was more than capable of flying a ship, fighting hand to hand at this very second could be a bit more challenging but that wasn't necessary here.
"Very well, Master." He conceded. I bowed my head at him in thanks, a gesture which he reciprocated before turning to meet Admiral Yularen's side.
"Master Skywalker seems to inspire great confidence in his men." Master Plo pointed out, causing Ahsoka to let out a breathy chuckle.
"He does lead by example." She said, making me smile.
"Indeed." I agreed with her.

I stifled a groan as I sat down in the cockpit of my brightly coloured orange Jedi starfighter. I shifted my shoulders, attempting to loosen the discomfort they felt upon sitting down in the seat. Reaching out, I flicked the switch on the console to power it up. Peeking carefully around the side I took notice that R7 was no longer next to it, preparing to be loaded into the droid slot. I pressed the button, the ship humming as it attached R7 and hauled him up to rest in the ship.
