"Dante, I know I said I will consider, but my daughter will always be my first priority. You are a really good man, but I don't think I'm ready for another relationship. At least not now."

"I can understand, Sel. But if you ever change your mind, I'm here. " He passed me a sad smile and headed to his office.

I let out a sigh and headed to my own.

"As we all know, today is a very important day for us. We are striking a deal with a leading I.T industry, based in New York. Now, now I am aware that I haven't told you the name yet. You will soon find out." Mr. Morales voice booms out in the conference hall.

He is holding a meeting with our faculty to make sure everything is perfect.

The 'said' person is supposed to make an appearance at 12 pm today.

"Ms. Lockwood, I hope you and your team are well prepared." Mr Morales enquired me since I'm assigned to lead this project.

"Yes, Mr.Morales. We went through the files this morning."

"Good, what about the finance reports, Mr. Jenkins?".....

Our boss went on enquiring about each and every minute detail in the 45 minutes, making sure everything is perfect.

I was about to exit the washroom when i heard a huge commotion outside.

I'm pretty sure it's 'the most important factor of the company' (Mr.Morales' words, not mine) billionaire, so I exited quicker than I should have.

My way halted when Samantha, my friend, came into view.

"Oh, Sel!! I was looking for you. Our guest is here and is super hot, and you wouldn't believe who it is—"

"Ms Lockwood and Ms. Evans, Head to conference hall 12 right now, all the best."  Sam was interrupted by Hannah, Mr.Morales' assistant.

"Well, it looks like you need to see for yourself. I hope everything goes alright." Sam said to me, and together we headed to the meeting.

We were just in time inside the hall. Everyone seemed to settle in.

Mr.Morales got up from his seat to the address the meeting. Just when he was about to begin, the door opened up again.

"I apologise for the inconvenience. I had to attend this call."

I instantly recognised the voice.

I really hope it isn't who I think it is.

I silently prayed in my head and turned towards the door.

"No, it's alright. Welcome to Morales Inc., Mr. Ashford."

Lucian took his seat in front of Mr Morales and returned the greeting.

He is still the same, but he seems more mature and confident now.

Lucian took a quick glance at the table. I don't think he noticed me since the light dimmed in the hall, as our presentations were about to begin.
