Maya~

And it's right back to normal in the Yelich household. Wedding on Tuesday, a kind of normal day on Wednesday, and back to baseball today.

Christian walks over to Amalia and me after coming out of the clubhouse. I hold my hand up. He grasps my hand, "Good job," I tell him.

He smiles, "Thank you."

He takes our sleepy daughter from my arms. "And just like that, we're back to reality."

"Straight to it."

The honeymoon phase has to wait a few more months. Getting married in the middle of baseball season is limiting to other experiences. But it'll be so worth it to have a week in a beautifully warm place with beach access and no child. We love her but we figured a honeymoon wasn't the most appropriate place for a child.

When we get home, "I'll put her down," he tells me as I stand in the kitchen, trying to find something to snack on.

"Thank you."

I put a bowl of fruit together before sitting at our dining table. I noticed a note on my laptop from Bridget. Reading the note, I opened my laptop to find a detailed document of everything we received from our wedding guests. Bless her soul. She is amazing.

I make a note to myself to write thank you letters to everyone. That'll be what I do tomorrow or at least when she goes down for her naps and bedtime since she likes to keep me on my toes all day.

I hear Christian come back to the kitchen. "What are you doing?"

"Looking at what Bridget left me."

He comes behind me, "What's this?"

"Our moms and Bridget went through everything people got us and wrote down everything for me so I wouldn't have to do it."

"I thought we said no gifts."

"We did but people don't listen."

"Christian, I don't even know what to do with this stuff. We don't need it and I feel bad getting rid of it," I tell him as I look through all of our gifts.

"Like what?"

"This pots and pans set. We have plenty of pots and pans already. Some of it's random decorations. Some of it's stuff we already have and have had for months or years."

"What's this?" he asks, pointing to bags of clothes.

"Clothes for her but some of it is too small. There's newborn clothes in there too."

"I think whoever gave us newborn clothing is trying to send us a message."

"Which is?"

"They clearly want us to have another baby and they're just giving it to us now."

"They do or you do?"

"Well- Maybe both."

"You're hilarious."

"What? Not right now?"

"She just turned 1 and we got married three days ago. Slow your roll."

He laughs, "We were already ahead of the game. What's one more? What's two more?"

What he doesn't know is that I would have 100 more babies with him if they turned out like Mali. But he doesn't need to know that right now. "I just got my body back last month. Give me a couple of months and we'll revisit the topic."

"I'm holding you to that."

"That's fine. Do it. I will probably change my mind by then."

He walks toward me, "Why don't you ask around if anyone wants the stuff we don't need and if nobody wants it, either return it if there's a receipt or give it away to Goodwill of Habitat for Humanity."
