"Where's the rest of it?" She asked, lifting her gaze up to me.
"The rest of it?" I questioned. "I'm sorry, I don't understand." I flashed her a smile. "Exactly how much were you expecting?"
"At least forty thousand." She explained, relaxing further back into her chair. My eyes widened in shock. Since when was information that expensive to buy?
"This will be sufficient, I'm sure." I flashed her another smile, attempting to convince her. The thought of resulting to using a mind trick entered my head for the briefest of moments. The thought dissipated as soon as I heard my Master's voice echoing around in my head that it wasn't something to be used in any given situation, it was always a last resort.
"I don't think you understand just how valuable this information is to you." She plastered on a fake smile.
"How can I when you haven't told me what it's about." I shot back, plastering a similar smile across my lips. "I don't have any more credits with me. You either take this or I'm leaving and neither of us gets anything."
She stayed silent, narrowing her eyes at me. She was clearly trying to work out if my threat was an empty one or not. However I took her silence as an answer, nodding my head as I leant forward and clipped the case shut once more. Picking it up off her desk I turned and left her office.
Sinker had sat down on one of the bar stools when I exited the room, Wolffe and Boost standing in front of him, all three of their helmets snapping over to me as soon as they heard the door open. I made my way over to them, stopping in front of them.
"What happened?" Wolffe questioned, glancing down at the case still at my side.
"Price is too high." I explained, gently shrugging my shoulders. There wasn't much more we could do except for go up to the cruiser and retrieve more credits only to come back down here again, that is if there was any more to retrieve but I'd packed everything I had stored away. That was tedious and a waste of fuel.
"So, we're just leaving empty handed?" Sinker slipped off the stool.
"We don't have any other option." I explained.
"You could do something for me." I startled, spinning on my heels to face Cid standing directly behind us.
"We're not bounty hunters." I informed her.
"You don't say." Cid rolled her eyes. "The Black Sun has been scaring my customers into giving them money. I'm sure getting into their vault would be no trouble for a Jedi. They have plenty of credits to spare, they wouldn't miss any and that way we both get what we want." She proposed, smirking her scaled lips at me.
"We're not getting involved with the Black Sun." I shook my head, folding my arms as best I could since I was still gripping the case firmly in my hand. "If you want to steal from them, that's your business but we're not getting involved."
"They wouldn't have to know it was us." Boost spoke up, not helping the situation. I glanced over my shoulder at him, shaking my head.
"He's right. Surely you and your men can handle a little stealth operation." Her smirk increased. "So, what's it going to be, Sparkles?"
I sighed, shaking my head as my gaze lowered to the floor. Narrowing my eyes ever so slightly I thought back to what my Master had told me over the transmission. We need any information that we can get our hands on. Cid was offering us some, some that pertained to my battalion.
