"Marry me."
Two words. Two people. Two different situations.

Finally, it was time.
It took me almost two months to make all the arrangements. And now i was here, back in Delhi, to propose to the love of my life.
Now, I know it won't be easy to convince her. So i took the second best route - convince her parents - become the ideal candidate for them, and Ishu being Ishu, will have to accept her parent's decision.
I had everything arranged. Advik was staying back in Pune, managing the work in my absence, while I was here, preparing a grand proposal for her.
I reached home by evening. My parents were still staying in Delhi. I wanted them to move in with me, but they refused, wanting to continue their own work and not wanting to leave the house we have lived in for generations.
Anyways, parents hain, so of course i agreed to their wishes, but not without the promise of moving in after their retirement. Apne bachche ke liye itna to kar hi sakte hain.
["That's the least the can do for their kid."]
Mumma was waiting for me at the door when I arrived, "Welcome back Kabir." She opened her arms.
I hugged her, "Hello Mumma" I pulled away, "I missed you guys so much."
Papa was in the living room, watching football.
He, himself, has been a state level football player in his early years.
I stood behind the couch.
"Who's winning?"
"That new team is beating Manchester. What the hell are they doing?! It's almost half-time and -" he turned around, his eyes widening, a smile stretching across his face as he stood up, "Kabir!" he hugged me, "Took you long enough."
I hugged back, "You know how things were for the past couple years. Couldn't risk your safety."
"And what about your safety?" Mumma came back with some juice. I picked up one glass.
"You don't have to worry about me. I had Vipin help me out. And you know he grew up in that environment."
We all sat down.
"Anyways, remember Ipshita?"
They both thought for a bit, then papa answered, "That girl from college? Your girlfriend?"
"Yup! I am planning on marrying her."
"Have you asked her?" mumma inquired.
"I will do that tomorrow. "
They both looked at each other, then back at me.
"Well, she does seem like a nice girl."
"Sudhaar degi isse" Papa pointed at me.
["She will fix him." (not really 'fix' but I could not think of a better word.)]
I pouted, "Papa!"
Well, he wasn't wrong. She has made me better in a lot of ways.
