Always and Forever 2- Will Byers x FEM Reader (Season 3)

We all loaded into the station wagon together, me and El were both laid side by side in the back end with Will and Mike. The pain in my stomach was heavy but also at the same time, not painful. I hadn't healed this fast in forever. My brain was telling my body that I had to keep going. I couldn't stop.

As Nancy turned the key to start up the car, it screeched. But not a good screech or a bad one, a terrible one. A “I'm not starting” screech. Not good. 

“What's wrong?” Jonathan asked her.

“I don't…” she tried to start it again, “I don't know. Come on!”
“Didn't your mom just buy this car?” Lucas asked.

“Yes. I'm sure it's fine.”

“Did you leave the lights on?” Will questioned.

“No.”

“Do we have gas?”

“Yes!” she cried, “Come on!”

“Whoa whoa whoa whoa!” Jonathan stopped her, “JUst, stop stop! Pop the hood.”

And so she did before she got out and checked it out alongside Jonathan. Seconds after they left, I heard the revving of a car, only it wasn't our car. I used all my power to sit up and look out the back window. I could see headlights shining directly at the car. 

“Billy.” I said in fright before we saw Nancy bang on the window.

“Back in the mall!” she shouted.

“Go! Go ! Go!” Everyone was shouting as Will helped me out of the back end and into the mall.

Once inside, we all gathered at the tables again, Will helped me sit down and sat beside me. However, I decided that I needed to practice standing so on my own, I stood on my feet. Mike had already got the radio and was trying to call for Dustin who was indeed not responding. Will, Max and I watched as Nancy took a gun from the belt of one of the dead Russians.

“You're gonna kill him aren't you.” Max asked.

“This is just a precaution okay?” she said.

“And not just against Billy.” Will said to her.

“If Billy knows we’re here, then so does the mind flayer.” I looked at her while holding onto Will’s arm for stabilization.

“No chance of that thing I drive, right?” Nancy said, looking at the fallen car.

“We don't need it to drive.” JOnathan said from behind me, ‘We just need the ignition cable.''

Everyone in the area jumped up and immediately went to try and overthrow the crushed car. They all went behind and tried to shove it over. El and I just sat side by side in front of them and watched.

“Push.” Jonathan grunted as they all tried to shove the car over, but they ultimately failed.

“This is humorous.” I said blakely. 

“Let me try.” El said.

“El…” Mike sighed, out of breath.

“I can do it.” she said, determined.

She stepped up in front of the fallen car and lifted her arm as we all stood behind her. We heard the car squeak and the metal buckled, however, the power she was admitting wasn't enough. Her power was too drained. She sighed and looked defeated as she turned around and came back to her spot beside me. 

Everyone else went back over to the car and began to try and flip it back over again. I rolled my eyes and lifted my hand. With a flick of my wrist, the car was right side up again. The others gasped when it fell and jumped away before looking at me who once again rolled my eyes.

“Why didn't you just do that from the beginning?” Mike sighed, out of breath as he jumped off the counter.

“Because taking an extra thirty seconds to watch you struggle is funny.” I smirked with a giggle.

Nancy and Jonathan both jumped down together and went to try and open the hood but were stopped. 

“How do we get it open?” she asked while still trying to pry it open.

“Uh, there should be a latch, check under the wheel.” Jonathan directed, in which Nancy followed, “You see it?”

“I don't know, hold on.” she said as I turned and went to stand next to Max.

At this point, I was fully able to stand on my own with a little limp, despite my legs being completely fine. It just hurts to breathe. I went to stand next to Will who was beside the others. We watched poor El take a coke can out of the garbage can and attempt to crush it. 

That automatically brought back flashbacks from the lab, where they would have us crush things or set things on fire. I had crushed several cans in my lifetime and it all led back to the lab.

I stayed behind with Will and Lucas as Max and Mike approached the struggling El. Will and I watched as Jonathan searched for the ignition cable together before we felt it again. My eyes flashed with pain and the tickling feeling creeped up on my neck again. I looked at Will in fright as we heard a light banging noise from the glass ceiling above. They were pounding on the roof, and we knew it had found us.

Just as Jonathan had removed the ignition cable from the engine, we heard Mike scream.

“Nancy!” he shouted just before he took El and Max’s hands and sprinted in the other direction.

The cracking of glass was heard from overhead before the entire ceiling broke in and the mind flayer dropped in the ground. It roared as Will grabbed my hand and rapidly hid me and himself behind the car. Nancy, Jonathan and Lucas joined us in a line. We all hid with our knees to our chests. The position hurt my stomach like a bitch but I was pushing through.

“We have to get you out of here.” Will whispered in my ear.

“I'm fine.” I whispered, “I have to fight.”

“No, you have to stay safe.” Will argued.

“Will, right now, is not the time to fight. I'm staying and fighting unless we find a way to get out.” I said before we saw Lucas shift in his position.

Lucas was preparing his slingshot. I was assuming that the monster was close to the others. With the release of a rock and a balloon popping, we heard the monster screech and rampage towards the loud sound. This was our cue to get out and flee. I thought about it for a split second and decided that I had to stay and help El. I could read her mind and from where I sat and knew that they were farther from getting out than we were. I turned to Will.

“I'm staying. You're gonna go with them, and be safe.” I told him.

“No. You're coming with. You'll be killed.” he panted as he grabbed my arm.

“Will, please.” I begged, “I have to stay and fight with El. She's my sister. The one person who is like me.”

“But Y/N, what if he kills you.” he cried, “He’ll take you from me.”

“So be it, you’ll be okay.” I sniffled, “I love you. So much. Please go.“

“Be careful.” he said as he gave me a hug.

“I will.” I nodded, “Now go. Quickly.”

He gave me a quick nod and gave me a loving kiss before turning and following the others who had no idea that I was still inside the building. I prayed that I would be alright but I was planning for the worst.
