7. Another Person We Can Trust

Toothless grabbed the fish and yanked it away. He then ate it and let put what sounded like a laugh.

The Terror growled and reared up, mouth open, getting ready to shoot. Before it could Toothless let a small blast of fire out of his mouth, straight into the Terror's.

The small dragon blew up like a balloon, eyes wide. It deflated and drunkenly walked over to Hiccup, "Huh, not so fireproof on the inside are ya." Hiccup said before throwing it a fish. "There ya go."

The Terror curled up next to him, purring like a cat. "Everything we know about you guys-"Hiccup started.

"Is wrong." I finished for my brother.

Today was the day the elder would choose who killed the dragon.

She went through all the teens, dismissing us one by one until only my brother and best friend stood in the ring.

Gobber stood behind them and hovered his hand over Astrid's head. Gothic shook her head.

Gobber then moved his hand above Hiccup's head. The healer nodded and pointed her staff at him.

I looked at my twin brother to see him already staring straight at me, worry in both of our eyes.

"So, we're really leaving?" I asked Hiccup as I carried my basket of things into the cove.

Hiccup had made me a saddle am I had brought it with me, hoping to give it a try.

"Yeah, I mean, it's the best we can do." He replied.

"Okay."

"Hey guys, let's pack up. Looks like the four of us are taking a little vacation... Forever. " Hiccup called to Sapphire and Toothless, who were no where in sight.

He placed his basket down and started to dig through it, I copied his actions.

We stood up and saw Astrid sitting on a rock, sharpening her axe.

"Oh, what the!"

"Oh, my Thor!"

"What-what are you doing here?" Hiccup asked, worry laced in his voice.

What would she think about the dragons? Would Astrid hate me? I really hoped not.

"I wanna know what's going on," She answered as she hopped off the rock and started approaching Hiccup. "Nobody just gets as good as you do, especially not you. Start talking."

"Uhhh-"

"Are you training with someone?" She questioned, glancing at me.

"Training?"

"It better not involved this!" She said, holding up Hiccup's leather apron.

"Uh this looks really bad but you see, uh this-" I started, only to get cut off by Astrid gasping.

"Your right, your right, I'm through with the lies. I've been making outfits. It's time everyone knew." Hiccup explained and I mentally face palmed.

She then twisted my brothers arm," That's for the lies. " Then she dropped the handle of her axe onto Hiccup's stomach." And that's for everything else. " I walked up to her and grabbed her hand.

Then we all heard Toothless and Sapphire gurgle. Astrid saw them. She gasped the pulled me to the ground." Get down! "

She got back up and tried to protect herself and I against the dragons. "Run! Run!"

Both dragons got into defensive stances as Hiccup and I yelled. We stood between Astrid and the dragon trying to calm them down.

"You just scared them." I explained, holding Sapphire back a little.
