Talulahh's POV

I woke up the next morning feeling gloomy about Sapphire. I felt so down that I didn't bother to do my hair in a fancy way.

I did one simple Fishtail braid and thought about how Sapphire wasn't watching me get ready like usual.

Hiccup had left without me, rude, leaving me to walk on my own.

I passed Astrid on the way,"why are you up so early?"

"I'm helping Hiccup in the armory, and I'm already late so I should get going." I said, not giving her a chance to respond before I rushed off.

Weird. Maybe my feelings for her are growing stronger? No.

I arrived at the armory and started handing Hiccup things.

An hour passed and Hiccup spoke, "I'm gonna go get some more screws, I think a have some at the house."

"Okay"

"Bye, Tu"

"Bye, Hic"

Soon after Hiccup left I heard Astrid in an abnormally cheerful voice. "Talulahh, Hiccup."

"Over here, Astrid!"

"Here, happy holidays from me to you." She said handing me a beverage.

"Thank you, sunshine."

"What did Hiccup need help with, also where is he?" Astrid questioned.

"Oh, he went to grab more screws. Anyway, Hiccup had this great  idea to make Toothless a new tail so he could fly on his own." I explained.

I took a sip of the drink and gagged."No way!" She exclaimed.

I reluctantly swallow the drink. "Yeahhhh."

"That is so cool, good idea." She complemented.

"Oh it wasn't mine it was Hiccup's idea."

"Shhh,"She pressed her finger to my lips,"you still helped,anyway I'm gonna go spread some more holiday cheer!" She excitedly ran off,"you're amazing!"

Butterflies grew in my stomach and I blushed when she complemented me. "Oh, my Thor." I groaned.

I have a crush on Astrid Hofferson- scratch that, I am in love with Astrid Hofferson.

"Oh my Thor, what?" A voice behind me asked.

I jumped, dropped the mug I was holding, and turned around.

"Sorry,  didn't mean to scare ya." Ruff said.

"It's fine." I told her a I bent down to clean the spilled 'Yaknog'.

"Oh my Thor, what?" She repeated.

"I can trust you not to tell anyone right? Not even Tuffnut." I asked.

"Wait! Is it girl talk? I've heard that you can't tell anyone about girl talk and no one has ever asked to have girl talk with me!" She exclaimed.

"Yeah, I guess it is girl talk."  I said a I got up from my crouched position.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the armoury. "Let's go for a walk. Tell me everything and I won't tell a soul, promise." She held out her pinkie.

I linked my pinkie to hers, "okay, so Astrid's my best friend right? But I think I want to be more than that with her. Im in love with her." I admitted.

"Woah," Ruff said. "You should tell her how you feel."

"That's the problem. I think she loves Hiccup. You've seen how close they've gotten and what if she hates me if I tell her."

"I don't think she's in love with Hiccup. Have you seen the way she looks at you, admires you?" She asked.

"No?"

"Well she does."

I shook my head, "I don't think so."

Ruff opened he mouth to speak but got cut off, "Ruff!" Tuffnut yelled.

"We should do this more often." I told Ruff.

"Really? Okay!" With that she ran to join her brother.

I went with Hiccup to give Toothless his tail. My twin said that I helped make it so I had to be there. I also wanted to see the look on the dragons face.

"Toothless!" Hiccup called.

"We got something for ya!" I said in a cheery tone.

He came down from the roof and started sniffing at the new tail. "What do you think of that?"

"Would you just settle down, Toothless,  I gotta put this on you." Hiccup told the dragon. I patted his head and he stopped moving but still strained to get a good look.

He gurgled the freaked out, trying to get it off. He only stopped when he noticed that the tail widened with his fin.

He examined it before turning to look at us, his pupils were slits this time. "Toothless?"

Hiccup tried to pet him but he flinched away and flew off. We watched him until he wasn't in sight anymore.

I woke up to a creaking on the roof, thinking it was Toothless I got up. Looks like Hiccup heard it too.

I decided I would see my chosen brother in a minute and would do my hair now because of my cheerful mood.

I did a half up, half down hairdo. The top half was made into a cute messy bun. The bottom half remained the same, it was hip length and wavy. I thought I looked great aside from the fading bruise that still remained on my forehead.

I walked outside and what did I see? Nothing. I looked up to see my dad on the roof. "Hey, dad"

"Hi, honey. Oh! Since you don't wear a helmet I'm gonna have you use a spare boot instead. Sound good?" He asked.

"Yeah, sounds great." My mood brightened when he said that. I remembered that I still had a few more people to get gifts for.

Gift giving was my love language. I always craft random things and give them to people as an act of appreciation.

That's one of the reasons I loved Snoggletog so much. The list of people I still needed to shops for contained:
Ruff
Tuff
Fishlegs
And Sapphire
I frowned at the last one. Then something caught my eye. It was Hiccup, carrying something long.

I jogged up behind him, "Need help?"

"Oh, hey, Tu. I'm good, thanks, though" He said gloomily.

"Okay, I'll walk with you then. " I told my brother, trying to brighten his mood too.

"Fine. "

I kept rambling to him about certain things I knew made him happy until we turned a corner and met with Fishlegs.

"Oh! Fishlegs, you hungry? "I made a confused face before I noticed the large basket of fish he was carrying."There's enough fish there to feed a dragon!"

Fishlegs laughed awkwardly,"oh,a dragon. That's..." He trailed off as he quickly scampered away.

I looked at Hiccup and he looked at me. We had a silent agreement. We were going to follow Fishlegs.

We wait until Fishlegs left his stable before we came out of hiding. Hiccup sat his stuff before we opened the door.

The only thing I saw was Meatlug coming straight towards us. She rammed into Hiccup and I, taking us with her to wherever she was going.

We past Astrid, "Hiccup? Talulahh? Where are you going?"

"We have no idea!" I told her as we flew away.
