4. Tuff, Tu, and Chicken

We all jumped off the cliff, each landing on our respective dragons.

We checked out another island and Hiccup said, "This looks pretty good."

"Those cliffs could work." Astrid observed. "Good sight lines, easily defendedable."

"And the location is great." Fishlegs added.

"It's perfect." Ruff stated.

"Yeah. Too perfect." Tuffnut said skeptically. "I'm just saying, in the immortal words of the mighty Thor, 'When something looks too perfect, it probably sucks.'"

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure Thor never said anything remotely like that." Hiccup replied.

"Oh, really? How do you know? Do you know Thor? Have you talked to him recently?" Tuff sassed.

"No, but-"

"Because I have, mm-hmm. And I don't recall him mentioning you." Tuff claimed. "Look, I have a feeling about this place, and I think we all know what happens when I get a feeling."

"We ignore it?" Astrid asked, making me smile.

"Mark my words. There will be something wrong with this island, something mysterious, something horrible, something... something..." Tuff dramatically said.

"Ya finished?" Ruff asked, unamused.

"I believe you, Tuff." I stated.

"You do?"

"Yeah."

"Why?"

"With our luck, anything could go wrong." I told them.

"Have a little faith, Tu." Hiccup told me.

"I'll try."

We swooped down and landed. Hiccup started giving his Hiccup-y instructions. "First thing we need to do is set up camp for the night. We need dry wood for fire, we need fresh water, and we need someone on traps."

We didn't pay attention and instead were looking at a diagram. "Snotlout, what is that?" Astrid asked.

"It's an 'S' for 'Snotlout'." He replied in a matter-of-fact tone. "I think aesthetically it would look nice flying over."

"That's ridiculous. It doesn't matter what the outpost looks like. It needs to be functional and operational." Astrid lectured.

"Uh, guys, what we really need is..." Hiccup tried to explain.

"Is a place for rest, relaxation, and replenishing after a hard days work. You absolutely right, Hiccup. Look, Meatlug and I had some thoughts"

Fishlegs pulled out a shield with a diagram on it. Where in Thor's name did he get that?

"Is that a hot tub?" Astrid pointed to a circle in the middle.

"No, that's the mud bath. The hot tub is over here." Fishlegs pointed out like it was obvious.

"Wait a minute. Everyone stop. I don't see it." Tuff said, leaving everyone but Ruffnut confused.

"Me, neither." She said.

"See what?" Hiccup asked what the rest of us were thinking.

"Um, the boar pit. Where is it? Where the boar pit?" Tuff exclaimed.

"You see, the centerpiece of any good outpost is a boar pit." Ruff explained.

"Why?"

"Everybody needs a little entertainment now and then, don't they?" Tuff said in a creepy accent.
