The girl got ready for the day. She decided to wear a sports bra top that Taylor was kind enough to bring and a pair of running shorts. It was hot and she was not in the mood to sweat in her denim shorts.
As they were walking downstairs she heard a knock on the front door. She opened the door to see a lady. "Hi, can I help you?"
"Sandy Denati. I'm looking for Julia."
"Oh right, for the open house." The girl was about to go find the lady until she thought about something. "You know what, Julia decided to cancel. Yeah it was very last minute but you know with a home like this, you can't resist to keep it."
"Sorry, who are you?"
The girl was about to respond until she felt a hand on her lower back and the front door opened wider. "She's my girlfriend and she's, um, she's right. The house is not for sale." Conrad said.
"Conrad Fisher, right? It's nice to see you. I am sorry about your mom."
"Yeah clearly not." Briella whispered.
"Yeah not sorry enough to pass up the opportunity to sell her house." Conrad said to the woman.
"I'm just doing my job." Sandy argued.
"Well consider this an unexpected day off."
"Ignore them. Ignore them." Julia said, appearing behind the two. "There will be an open house today. But there does seem to be a minor problem with the AC. It died."
"That is not a minor problem, Julia." Sandy said. "It is supposed to hit 95 today."
"Yeah ok, let's chat outside for a minute." Julia said, stepping outside to talk to Sandy.
Conrad shuts the door as the two of them look at each other before slowly making their way to where everyone else is. "I'm sorry, I called you my girlfriend."
