"Is he all right? "Hiccup asked in a worried tone.
"Oh, he's fine."
"That's a relief." Hiccup sighed.
"but, then again, not so fine."
"What does that mean?" I asked.
"Gobber, you're killing me. Is my father okay or not?" Hiccup questioned.
"Oh, he's a fit as a dragon. Unfortunately, he's his ornery as one, too." Gobber lowered his voice at the last sentence.
Toothless growled a he walked up to me. "No offence." Gobber quickly defended. " I scratched the dragon an he purred affectionately.
I turned to Sapphire to see Chip resting on her head, they really get along.
"I've never seen him like this. Angry, shouting at everyone." Gobber continued and I focused on him again.
"Actually that sounds like vintage Stoick the Vast to me." Hiccup countered.
"Do you think I would've sailed in a boat by myself for a week, if it were vintage Stoick the Vast? he's driving the village crazy!" Gobber exclaimed.
"All right, I guess we better see what's going on with him." Hiccup finally said.
"Good idea."
"You want to ride back with me and Toothless?" Hiccup asked.
"Actually, I think I might stay a while, help repair your wee dragon base. See if I can offer up my dragon killing-experience," He whispered before turning back to his normal voice, "to help defeat that Rumblehorn. If there's time, I'll take Tuffnut up on that clubbing."
"It works with Ruffnut." Tuff said from somewhere behind me, I didn't bother to look.
"I get it." Hiccup said. "So basically, you're hiding out from our father."
"One might look at it that way." Gobber shrugged.
My brother turned to look at Sapphire, Chip, Toothless, and I, "Well, guys, looks like we're off to Berk."
We arrived and landed in the plaza. It was oddly quiet.
"Hmmm. Quieter than usual." Hiccup observed.
Just then, our father could be heard yelling in the distance.
"Okayy." Hiccup strung out the word as he and I both slipped out of our saddles. Chip quickly sat down in my spot.
"You just had to jinx it, didn't you?" I asked, putting a hand on my hip.
"Just follow the sound of the angry Viking." Hiccup instructed.
The sound led us to the armoury.
"I said I wanted them arranged by deadlines." My fathers voice said. A dagger was thrown and the five of us had to duck to avoid it.
"Axes," he threw an axe, lodging it in a catapult that stood near Hiccup and I.
"Bludgeons," Stoick threw a bludgeon that almost took off my brother's head.
"Maces," This time the mace bounced off of Toothless's wing and hit the lever on the catapult. The sheep that was loaded in it went flying.
Our father walked out of the armoury and in his anger he didn't even notice that his children had returned to Berk. "If I used then on you, you wouldn't forget how deadly they are! Gah! I can't believe it..."
"Hiccup, Talulahh, thank Thor you're here." Sven said. "You've got to help us. Your father has become unbearable."
"Well, to be fair, Sven, you did have the weapons out of order." Hiccup tried to defend.
