8. Stoick's New Friend

"Yoo-hoo!"The blacksmith ran by, chasing a bunch of boars. "Come back, please. Ha ha!"

"Boar pit." Snotlout deadpanned.

"Okay, Gobber accounted for." Hiccup observed.

"Hiccup, did you find the Rumblehorn?" Astrid walke up to him with me close behind.

"More like he found us." My brother answered.

"Ha ha, gave us a good run, that one." Stoick added.

"We're gonna resupply, and then we all need to go look for it." Hiccup instructed.

"Eh, I can find them, like right now." Tuff shrugged.

"Oh, really?" Snotlout questioned.

"Oh, yeah."

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah."

"How's that?"

"Wait for it. Bing!" Tuffnut pointed to the sky. We all followed his gaze to see the Rumblehorn flying straight towards us.

"What the-ahh! Hey, everybody? on your dragons! We need to draw him away from Dragon's Edge." Hiccup said before lowering his voice. "It tracked us all the way here."

"Impressive." Our father admired.

"Dad, right now, we kind of need to catch it." I told the chief.

He furrowed his brows in determination before running after Hiccup. We took to the sky b4t had to slow down due to the Night Terrors getting in the way. "Where are the Night Terrors going?" My brother asked.

Stoick turned to the dragon that flew straight past us, "And why isn't the Rumblehorn following us?"

"Because, it's following him." Hiccup answered.

"Mr. Boar, come back, please. I just want to have a friendly chat." I heard from none other than Gobber himself. This can't end well.

The Rumblehorn continued to fly towards Gobber, Hiccup, Toothless, and our father trailing close behind. Hiccup leaned down and told something to Toothless before said dragon shot a plasma blast near the Rumblehorn.

The dragon only moved around a little before landing on our island. It roared and a few Night Terrors that had perched on some rocks flew away in fear. The Rumblehorn started to chase after Gobber but Astrid stepped in, "Stormfly, spine shot." She ordered.

Stormfly did as her rider said, only for the Rumblehorn to run straight through the spines. Hookfang and Barf and Belch also tried to stop the dragon with a wall of fire. Yet again, the Rumblehorn ran through it, no problems at all.

My father started to speak as Sapphire flew next to Toothless, "Well, as powerful as that dragon is, he doesn't seem to have a real thirst for blood."

"Not yet." My brother responded. "But it's still going after Gobber." We watched as the Rumblehorn chased after Gobber, but he didn't look like a dragon that was about to attack. I started to wonder what it could want if it wasn't to hurt us.

I snapped out of my thoughts when Hiccup said, "I hate to do this, but it's the Rumblehorn or Gobber. We may only get one shot at this, bud. Let's make it count!"

I looked at our father, who seemed to be in deep thought. "This doesn't make any sense." He muttered before looking back at a small group of Night Terrors that were flying away from the island. "Unless- Hiccup, wait!" He yelled.

The sudden outburst caused Toothless's plasma blast to fall a few feet short. "Dad, what are you doing?!" Hiccup exclaimed.

"Not so fast, you." Gobber said to the boar before turning around to face the charging Rumblhorn. My breath hitched as a watched in anticipation, but the dragon came to a halt in front of the blacksmith.
