Y/N's sleep was rudely interrupted at precisely 6:35 in the morning by the obnoxious buzzing of her cell phone. She forced herself to sit up and rubbed her tired eyes before extending her arm and reaching for her phone which was vibrating on her nightstand.

She accepted the call by pressing the green button on her phone before holding it to her ear. Big mistake.

A shrill squeal pierced her eardrums and she pulled the phone away from her face.

From beside her, Rodrick let out a loud groan and rolled over to face Y/N. "What the hell is that?" he muttered, referring to the sharp screams coming from her phone.

"It's my birthday!" a cheery voice echoed from Y/N's phone.

"Oh, for fuck's sake," Rodrick grumbled as he turned over on his side, away from Y/N.

"Y/N! Y/N! It's my birthday!" Lexi cried from the other end.

"Happy birthday, Lex," Y/N said groggily.

"Oh, sorry, babes. Did I wake you?" Lexi asked apologetically.

"It's 6 in the morning. Of course you woke us up," said Rodrick.

"Oh, hello, Rodrick," Lexi mumbled, her enthusiasm suddenly replaced by a monotonous voice.

"Happy birthday," he whispered.

"Aww, did Rodrick just wish me happy birthday?" Lexi asked. It wasn't meant to be a taunt but Rodrick took it as one.

"I hope your day is shitty, you deserve it," he replied.

Y/N lightly smacked him. "I'm sorry, Lex. He—"

"I think that's one of the nicest things he's ever said to me," Lexi laughed. "Anyway, sorry for waking you both up. I'm just so excited. Heather texted me and told me that the party planners she hired are almost done decorating and that we should all go over there for lunch."

"Lunch?" Rodrick exclaimed. "It's not even time for breakfast."

Y/N hushed him before saying, "That sounds great. I'll see you then. Happy birthday, Lex. I can't wait to see you."

"Thanks, love. See you soon," she said. "Goodnight, dickhead."

"Goodnight, dickhead," Rodrick mimicked as Y/N hung up the phone.

She placed it on her nightstand before cuddling up to him.

"You know, we might as well get up—"

Rodrick held his finger up to Y/N's lips. "Shh," he said. "Wait until lunch time."

Y/N smiled before she closed her eyes and slowly fell back asleep.

Y/N, Rodrick, Ben, Barry and Lexi all drove to Heather's massive house in Rodrick's van.

"I don't understand how you have your licence," Lexi grumbled as she, Ben and Barry hopped out of the back of the van.

"And I don't understand why you have to complain all the time," Rodrick said.

Y/N lightly smacked his arm, giving him a look of disapproval.

He sighed and turned to Lexi. "Sorry," he mumbled.

Lexi held her head high and beamed before she started skipping her way to the entrance of Heather's house.

The others followed her and they all waited outside on the steps as Lexi ran the doorbell.

A few moments later, the door opened and Heather greeted them.
