Chapter One-Hundred-Five: Lexi's Party

"Come on in," she said to them as she stepped aside. They all filed inside and kicked off their shoes. "I ordered us lunch from Lexi's favourite place."

"Thank you!" Lexi exclaimed as she threw her arms around Heather.

"Of course! Happy birthday by the way," Heather said as the two pulled away from the hug.

After Heather said hello to everyone else, she led them all into her luxurious dining room where lunch was perfectly set up on the table.

Everyone took their seats and together they had lunch.

After lunch, they gathered in Heather's ginormous living room which was decorated with streamers, balloons, banners and other party items.

Lexi beamed as she twirled around the room. "I love it!" she exclaimed. "It's perfect. Thank you so much!" She ran over to Heather and gave her a hug.

"Of course," Heather said with a smile. She turned to everyone else. "When should I text everyone?"

"Text everyone what?" Barry asked, raising a brow.

"To come here," Heather replied.

"Right now!" Lexi exclaimed. "It's my birthday and I've went almost the whole day without alcohol."

"Now that's an accomplishment," Rodrick muttered under his breath. Y/N glanced at him and he threw up his arms defensively.

"Okay, come on, Lexi," said Heather as she pulled her to sit down on one of the couches. The two pulled out their phones and began messaging all the guests that had been invited.

Meanwhile, Ben and Barry stood beside each other by the snack table. Both of their faces turned red as their hands accidentally brushed against each other while they reached for the same pretzel.

Y/N stood off to the side, eyeing the room which would soon be filled with drunken teenagers—most of which she didn't know.

As she was trapped in her thoughts, she felt a sudden tap on her shoulder.

She turned to her right where Rodrick stood. He reached for her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "By the way, if you want to leave at any time, let me know," he told her, keeping his voice low.

"Thank you for the offer but it's Lexi's birthday, I don't want—"

"I talked to her already," Rodrick interrupted. "She's fine with it."

Y/N gave him a smile before she placed a kiss on his cheek.

He gave her a smile in return before sliding his arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him.

Both Y/N and Rodrick suddenly jolted when Lexi let out a loud squeal. She jumped up and down and continued to shriek like a little girl. "My birthday, my birthday, my birthday!"

She skipped over to Ben and Barry who immediately leapt away from each other, avoiding eye contact.

Lexi, seemingly oblivious to the fact, grabbed Ben's arm and pulled on it. "It's my birthday," she said, smiling.

He grinned. "I know."

"You have to drink with me," she told him.

"I will," he replied. And with that, Lexi let go of him and twirled her way over to Heather.

"Y/N, come here," Lexi called as she waved her over.

Rodrick reluctantly let his hand fall to his side, allowing Y/N to walk over to Lexi and Heather who were stood beside a large speaker.
