PAST.
Lilahs eyes were closed as she covered them with both of her hands. She counted from one to ten in a matter of time. Once done the girl dropped her hands and opened her eyes.
"Look!" Toby cheered before throwing a small piece of paper in the girls hand. A origami swan laid in the palm on her hands, carefully shaped to it rightful design.
"Wow, did you make this, Toby?" She asked her younger brother, "It's adorable! I'll keep it forever!"
Tony grinned sheepishly, "It's not for you, silly."
"Oh," Her lips curved into a letter 'o', "Who is it for then?"
"You're future husband," He stated as if it was the most obvious thing in Earth. Lilah snapped her head in Toby direction. Her eye turnt wide and her mouth gaped opened.
"My-my what?"
Toby rolled his eyes, "You heard me," He pouted, "I want you to make this for him."
There wasn't a him. Lilah was single and most definitely not ready mingle. Being in a relationship hadn't even crossed her mind. She was far too busy looking over Toby to do anything else.
Lilah tilted her head to the side, "Well it make you happy?"
"Very," He answered.
She cleared her throat and looked down at the paper swan. It was horrible. The edges were uneven and there were several water droplets in it. It was dissolving.
"Ok, I'll do it." She told Toby. The words instantly lit up his face as he smiled proudly.
"Good. If you don't i'll come and find you," He threatened in the most cutest way. Lilah ignored his threat and only smiled back at him. "I'm being serious!" The boy shouted dramatically.
She jumped up in her seat, "Oh, of course you are," Lilah smirked, teasing the boy out of amusement. "You're so scary."
"Stop making fun of me," Toby folded his arms as he glared at his older sister, "I'm very sensitive."
Lilah let out a snort. Unable to control her laughter. Toby never failed to put a smile on her face. With his silly comments and random gestures.
"Why don't you teach me how to make one?" She asked, "That way I can make one for my future husband," Lilah was playing along with Toby, knowing that there was a very high chance she wouldn't ever fall in love.
There just wasn't any time for that.
***
Lilah cried and cried. That was all she could do. And of course, beg the world to bring her back her brother. No matter how much she cried out at the stars, they never listened. It wasn't going to bring him back. He was gone.
The swan paper was held delicately in Lilahs hand as she stared down at a picture of Toby. It was a gift from Thomas. He decorated a picture frame in Toby's favorite color, which was green and gifted it to her.
Lilah opened up a metal cabinet and placed the picture frame into it with the paper swan right next to it. Slowly she closes it and put a locket around the two handles. The lock clicked.
"Goodbye, Toby." She whispered in the air. A sense of relief washed over the girl. She accepted it. And she was ready to go up against WICKED.
They took everything from her and now she was going to do the exact same thing...
"...I will make them pay for your death, Toby." Lilah smirked as tears rolled down her pink cheeks, "No matter how long it takes."

Thomas and the rest of the boys bursted into the room, "Where is she! Where are they!" Thomas pointed a WICKED gun in the face of several doctors.
They held their hands out in defense and refused to say a word to Thomas. None of them dared to move. In fear that he would shot them.
Thomas paused, listening to the silence, before pushing back a one of the curtains in the room. Thomas gasped at the sight.
Lilah was lying in bed, dripping in sweat. Her hair stuck to the side of her face and forehead. Due to the cold sweat she was experiencing. Her weak body shook, making the cords that were connected to her shake.
Next to her bed Teresa was lying on her side, staring off into space. Her mind was blank.
Newt rushed over to Lilah. Unintentionally, pushing Thomas out of the way. He used the back of hand to touch her forehead, "She's burning up," He said to Thomas.
"What did you do to her!" Minho shouted at all the doctors in the room. Yet, they still remained silent.
Lilah moved her head to side to side against the pillow, mumbling words under her breath. Abruptly, Newt, watched as she whipped her head to the left while tears streamed out of her eyes.
He reached out for Lilah but pulled his hand away when a Doctor spoke up, "No! You can't wake her up!" She pleaded. Doctor Robison looked at her friend and back at the young teens in the room.
"Why not!" Thomas pointed the wearing at the woman, "Tell us!" He damned.
"The injection we gave her doesn't work like a normal one would. It's made out of strong acids. If you wake her up it could mess up with her blood stream!"
"Then what are we supposed to do! Leave her?" Thomas questioned. They were running out of time. Sooner or later the guards will find them. But they can't just leave her.
Newt looked down at Lilah, sitting down on the very edge of the bed. "Lilah." He carefully reached for her shaky hand and held it tightly as Thomas and Minho tried to get more answers out of the doctors, "Lilah. Please, it's me, Newt." His heart felt heavy, weighing his chest down. The panic settled in.
"I'm sorry! But there's no other way. She has to wake up on her own. It's too risky otherwise," Doctor Robinson pleaded to them.
Newt eyes briefly turned to Thomas. The boy stood there confused, contemplating what he should do. Still, he kept his weapon pointed up at the doctors. In case they tried anything.
"What do we do, Tommy?" Newts voice cracked as he spoke ever so quietly.
