the two woke up to a stormy/rainy day.
and in houston, the thunder are so loud it could wake the dead.
so nelson and dawsin just planned to stay there the whole day, jabari and everybody else going to the y to hoop.
"goodmorning" nelson rubbed his eyes.
"morning." dawsin yawned, stretching her arms out.

"i think that's the wrong piece d."
nelson softly spoke.
dawsin smiled, realizing he was right as nelson grinned at her.
"this is why i need you."
"what would you do without me"
"be home alone all day."
"yeah. where are your parents?"
"at their friends house in dallas."

"we did it!" dawsin laughed
as she high fived the boy, standing up for the first time in two hours as they both admired their work.
"that's like, good!" nelson noted, looking at the flower bouquet they made of legos.

the duo were back in the girls room,
laying down as the binged watched fall movies because they were excited for it.
"are you homeschooled?" nelson asked the girl that laid next to him.
she nodded, her eyes still on the tv.
the blonde rolled over on top of her,
making a loud sighing noise.
"i'm boreddddddddd"
he complained, his head in between her shoulders and neck.
"me too man" tucker sighed, wrapping her arms around the boy who was directly on top of her face down.
they stayed silent for a moment before
nelson picked up his head, looking strait
at the girl.
"i like you." he smiled, before rolling back over, dawsin laying on his chest.
she debated wether she should say it back, or wait. but dawsin did like him. and she felt like they connected really well.
so she did.
"i like you too."
"no, like i like you like you" nelson nodded,
staring a the ceiling while his sudden boldness wore off, feeling kinda nervous.
"yeah, i like you like you too"
dawsin nodded.
"you do?"
"mhm"
nelson stayed quiet for a moment,
thinking of what it it that he would say.
he wanted her to be his.
but would she?
"dawsin"
"hm?"
"i know we met like a month ago, but will you be my girlfriend?" nelson looked down at the girl.
dawsin smiled, before leaning
in, to kiss his lips.
"yes, if you promise to make more
legos with me all the time."

the truth was dawsin didn't like rushing into relationships. but nelson was harmless.
he was the sweetest soul she ever met.
what could go wrong?
