Wade had been lying on the couch, half-watching some random show on TV and half-daydreaming, when Peter strolled back into the living room. The late afternoon sun was filtering in through the blinds, casting a warm, golden glow over everything. It was one of those rare, lazy days where neither of them had anything urgent to do, no missions to run off to, no bad guys to chase down. Just a day to relax, unwind, and be with each other.

Peter had been in the kitchen, making some tea or coffee—Wade hadn't really been paying attention. His mind had been elsewhere, drifting between thoughts of Peter, the way his laugh always brightened Wade's day, and how good it felt just to have him here.

That was it, until something quite caught him off guard...Peter bending over to pick up something he'd dropped. A piece of paper or maybe a pen. But Wade's attention zeroed in on the movement, the way Peter's lean, toned body stretched and flexed as he bent at the waist. The fabric of Peter's jeans clung to his thighs in a way that made Wade's pulse quicken, his breath catching in his throat.

He hadn't meant to stare, hadn't meant to let his eyes roam the way they did, but he couldn't help it. There was something about Peter, something that always managed to captivate him in the most unexpected ways. Wade swallowed hard, his gaze fixed on Peter's form, heat pooling in his stomach as his mind began to wander.

Peter straightened up, oblivious to the effect he was having on Wade, and walked over to the coffee table to set down the mug he'd been holding. He glanced over at Wade with a soft smile, the kind that always made Wade's chest tighten with affection.

"You okay over there?" Peter asked, his tone light and teasing. "You look a little... distracted."

Wade blinked, trying to snap himself out of the trance he'd fallen into. "Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm fine. Just, uh... thinking."

Peter chuckled, the sound warm and infectious. "Thinking, huh? About what?"

Wade's mind scrambled for a quick answer, something that didn't involve the way Peter's jeans had hugged his thighs or the curve of his back when he bent over. "Just, you know... life stuff."

Peter raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. "Life stuff? That's pretty vague, even for you, Wade."

Wade forced a grin, trying to play it off. "Hey, I'm a man of mystery. Can't reveal all my secrets, now, can I?"

Peter rolled his eyes, but the smile on his face didn't waver. He sat down on the couch next to Wade, close enough that their shoulders brushed. Wade could feel the warmth radiating from Peter's body, the faint scent of whatever shampoo he'd used this morning filling the air.

"So, what's the plan for the rest of the day?" Peter asked, leaning back against the cushions. "Are we just going to lounge around, or did you have something in mind?"

Wade glanced over at Peter, his eyes lingering on the way his T-shirt stretched across his chest, the way his lips curved as he spoke. Wade's mind was already wandering down a path he knew he probably shouldn't be going, but he couldn't help it. There was something about Peter—something that had always drawn Wade in, made him want more than just the easy camaraderie they usually shared.

But it wasn't just lust. Sure, Wade found Peter attractive—ridiculously so—but it was more than that. It was the way Peter made him feel, the way he could be himself around Peter in a way he couldn't with anyone else. It was the connection they had, the understanding that went beyond words. It was everything about Peter that made Wade want him, in every possible way.

Wade shifted slightly on the couch, trying to get his mind out of the gutter, but it was no use. His thoughts kept drifting back to the way Peter had looked bending over, the way his muscles had moved under his clothes, and the sudden, overwhelming desire to close the small distance between them and just... do something about it.
