This is a special, short chapter for this day...enjoy! 💝
____________Peter had planned everything. He scrolled Pinterest boards, studied romantic comedies, and even asked for advice.
Valentine's Day was the day to pull out all the stops for his husband, Wade Wilson.Except, of course, nothing ever went according to plan when Deadpool was involved.
Peter stood in their shared apartment, staring at the chaos before him. His perfectly set table—complete with candles, a heart-shaped cake, and Wade's favorite tacos—was now overrun by tiny, dancing Deadpool-themed plushies. They chanted, "Wade is the best husband! Peter's a lucky guy!" in varying pitches.
"Wade!" Peter called, trying not to laugh. "What the hell is this?"
From behind the couch, Wade popped up like a jack-in-the-box, wearing a red tuxedo and holding a bouquet of what looked like... weapons? Yep. They were grenades shaped like roses, tied together with webbing.
"Happy Valentine's Day, my cutie spidey!" Wade beamed, "I didn't forget this year! Look! Weapons! Webbing! And dancing Deadpools! You love it, don't you?"
Peter crossed his arms, biting back a smile. "You're ridiculous, you know that?"
"Ridiculously in love with you!" Wade quipped, jumping over the couch with a dramatic roll. "But wait, there's more. Behold!" He reached into his suit and pulled out a tiny pink box, holding it out with flair.
Peter raised an eyebrow. "If there's a grenade in there, I swear—"
"Spider-babe, please! This is the romantic part." Wade opened the box to reveal a silver chain with a tiny charm: a heart entwined with a spiderweb. "Got it custom-made. The guy at the shop cried when I told him how much I love you. Or maybe that was from the concussion. Details."
Peter stared at the charm, his heart swelling. "Wade... this is actually—"
"Wait, wait! Don't get all emotional yet! I've got one more surprise!" Wade grabbed Peter's hand and tugged him toward the window. "Come on, Spidey, let's take this show on the road!"
Minutes later, they were swinging through the city, Wade clinging to Peter like an overly enthusiastic koala. When they landed on the rooftop of a high-rise, Peter gasped.
The entire rooftop was covered in glowing fairy lights. Guess what rooftop it was? Yeah, right.
In the center stood a makeshift movie screen, with beanbags, blankets, and a projector set up. A banner hung above it, reading: "Spider-Man & Deadpool: Greatest Love Story Ever Told!"Peter laughed, shaking his head. "You're insane."
"And you married me," Wade said, wrapping an arm around Peter's waist. "Now, let's cuddle and watch rom-coms until we puke. Or until we make out so much we forget the movie exists. Whichever comes first."
Peter kissed him, smiling against his lips. "Happy Valentine's Day, Wade."
"Happy Valentine's Day, my perfect little arachnid."
