4:25PM at the beach,

After me and Kian parted ways, I went to the seashore near my apartment. This is the best part about living in a seaside town, you can go to the beach whenever you want. I sat on a log near the ocean and listened to the peaceful waves as they hit the shore. The people say that this beach is haunted and so is this town, near 78 people who were living in here died because of a tsunami. Many people assumed that its because of the God's wrath and left the island while some still stayed and rebuilt this whole town together but, even to this day no one comes to this beach except the "troubled kids" like myself. Honestly, I don't care what they say about this place because I freaking love it, it's beautiful and most importantly it's peaceful. It's where I can be myself, alone, together with this lonely ocean.

After some time it started pouring down, I heard a tiny squeak from behind me, when I turned back, I saw Clair standing there. She looked like she was lost in her own world, a world that isn't pretty by any means.

"Hey!" I called her. She was startled by the sudden call, she certainly didn't expected it.
"Come here."  I suggested her. She slowly, hesitantly, walked towards me
"Sit." I  recommended her, it kinda sounded like an order though. She sat down trying to keep her distance from me, her eyes were fixed on the ground and she was trembling,  I wonder if it's because of me or something else entirely.

"What're you doing here in a high tide? It's dangerous..."  Her voice was shaking.

"I could ask you the same thing," I crossed my arms and gave her a look.

"I...came to...collect the shells..." she's a bad lier.

"Same here." I started laughing.

"What's so funny?"

"I don't know if you still remember but, we had a similar kind of conversation 2 years ago, near the seawall." For a brief second her cheeks went slightly pink before turning pale blue.

"I remember it.." she murmured  in a very soft voice.

I smiled, "can you please tell me the real reason for why you're here?" I gave her a look of concern.

"I lost my keys so I can't go back home and my phone's battery's dead so I didn't know what to do." She looked very embarrassed.

"Actually..." I took out the keys from my pocket, "here, you dropped it in the hallway when we bumped into each other. Im so sorry I didn't give it back earlier." I was ashamed at myself for not trying hard to find her before at school.

Her face brightened up as soon as she saw the keys. She quickly snatched it from my hand. "Thank you so much!"

"I don't know if i deserve it." The atmosphere became awkward after I said it. She looked like she wanted to say something but she didn't.

"I come to this place all the time because I find it peaceful. It's empty so no one bothers me ,and the sea here seems so lonely." Just like me.

"Yeah, it really is peaceful in here, if only I could come here all the time like you..." she looks very tired, if you look closely there are bags under those blue eyes hidden by makeup. Her physique seems so thin and weak. She must be overworking herself.

"You can't?"

"I can't" her answer was quick. "You're such a cool person, senior."

"How so?"

"It seems like you're always doing what you like, going where you like, you look so...free." She said. Maybe that's how it seems like to others but in reality I'm just...lost. I'm just trying to desperately stay afloat in a world where everyone's full of passion for the things they love.

"I have a name by the way, it's Nova."

"I know that,"

"Then stop calling me senior,"

"Maybe, if you stop calling me Clair,"

"I'm changing my name to senior."

"Is that even allowed?"

"I don't really care about the rules."

"Really?"

"Yes."
