VLAD: Return of Dracula

"Eddie!"I call as I run into the house.

"Eddie guess what!"I say as I push his bedroom door open.

I see him in bed with two women, half asleep. They all perk up as the door opens.

"...oh, yeah this is my roommate Lilly."he says as he sits up in the bed.

"Shit, should I come back?"I question, concerned.

"Oh nah we're good, what's up?"he asks, the girls in his bed chuckling.

"Um, could we talk in the kitchen maybe?"I ask.

"Yeah yeah, close the door unless you wanna see my dangly bits."he says as he begins to stand.

"Ew ew ew."I say as I turn away and close the door.

...

I wait a bit in the kitchen and then I hear his room door open.

He exits the room in sweatpants with a purple, lacey bra over his chest.

"Really?"I ask, folding my arms.

"What? Purple not your color?"he smirks.

I snatch it off his chest and he instantly gasps, covering his nipples.

"I just went on a romantic park date with Evan Van Helsing."I say.

"Oh shit."he says, dropping his hands.

"It was magical, and he wants my help setting up a new Dracula display."I say with a smile.

"Fuck yeah go Lily! Get you some vampire hunter weiner!"he says.

"Speaking of weiner, who are those two girls?"I ask.

"Uh, one of them is Carrie and one of them is Laura."he says as if he was unsure.

"...do you know which one is which?"I ask.

"Eh."he shrugs before leaning down and picking up the bra.

"One of them really likes purple. I'll come see you in a bit yeah?"he says as he walks backwards, placing the bra on his head.

"Fine."I laugh, rolling my eyes as I walk towards my room.

Evan was laying peacefully in his bed, sleeping.

But suddenly he gasps in his sleep and instantly sits up.

He screams, his hand coming to his head. His teeth and eyes clench hard for a few seconds and then his head snaps up, his eyes snapping open.

His eyes instantly begin leaking blood and he screams again before falling out of his bed to the ground.

A maid quickly runs into the room and finds him on the ground, blood leaking from his eyes.

"Mr. Van Helsing?! Are you okay?!"she asks, panicked as Evan grips her shirt.

"Call council."Evan whimpers as she begins wiping the blood from his face.

"What? Sir it's too-"

"CALL COUNCIL! CALL THE COUNCIL!"he shouts, causing her to run out of the room.

Evan hurriedly walks into the meeting room, where other Van Helsing members were gathered.

"I had a vision."Evan says as he sits down.

"Evan the serum stops your powers. Perhaps it was a nightmare."one of them said.

"I haven't had a vision in 10 years okay, and this one forced it's way through. I'm not joking."Evan says, signaling to his aggressively bloodshot eyes.

"Then what was it you saw?"Another person asks.

"I can't put together what it means, but I saw him. I saw Dracula."

Murmurs around the table start and he looks around.

"The tomb is sealed, correct?"One of them says.

"Yes, this key hasn't left my neck."Evan says, showing the key.

"Then there's nothing to worry about. The tomb is impenetrable. I'll put more guards there."

"Yes, do that."he says, sounding stressed.

"Evan, you need to up your dosage."

Evan swallows down hard and huffs.

"Fine. Okay."Evan says as he walks out of the room.

Lilith excitedly walks into the museum, where she sees Evan talking to the receptionist.

"Good morning!" she says excited, causing Evan to turn and look at her with a smile.

"Ms. Lily! Good morning, are you ready to set up?"he questions.

"Of course! I spent all night reading, I've got some interesting concepts to run by you if you don't mind."She says as they begin walking towards the back hall.

"We can get to that love, let me show you how to get through the archives. I've had several people become lost in there and that's no good."he says, beckoning her to follow him.

She smiles and follows him down 2 flights of stairs.

She notices that there were two more flights still going down.

"Ooo, what's down there?"she asks as they walk towards the entrance of the archives room.

"Mostly extra storage. Just a bunch of ancient junk, come on. That book I told you about is in here."he chuckles.

She chuckles as well as she follows after him.

Lily

I follow after him and we enter a room with rows and rows of shelves, filled to the top with artifacts.

"Oh my goodness. This is incredible, how long did it take you to get all this stuff?"I ask, following Evan as he walks down the aisle.

"Well, the Van Helsing's have been collecting for centuries. It helps us find out more about the vampires in the world. Like this chalice here, it belonged to a vampire called Igor in the 1900's. Apparently it was used to collect blood from infant sacrifice."Evan says, handing me an ancient looking golden chalice.

".. fascinating..why infant sacrifice?"I question.

"Ah, well. Vampires are beautiful and youthful on the outside, but the inside is what's rotting. Say if you had a painful cancer as you were turned, you're outward appearance will improve but the pain will always linger. Unless you feed. The younger the blood the better it is at relieving that pain."he says as we approach a book sitting under a glass case.

"Wow. I learn something new about vampires every day here."I say as he lifts the case off the book.

"As it should be darling. Here."he says, handing me the book.

I instantly felt strange as it touched my hands.

"Wow."I say, running my fingers over the thick leather cover.

"It's very valuable Lilith, do take good care of it. Now let's get to finding things for the display, eh?"he says.

"Of course."I smile.
