VLAD: Return of Dracula

I slowly walk back into the room, not seeing Eddie anywhere.

"Eddie? Where'd you go?"I ask, walking back over to the tomb.

I look down inside, and instantly gasp. I was unable to scream as I watched, and it felt like I couldn't breathe.

I watch as the mummified man was gnawing on Eddie's throat.

Eddie's expression was stuck in shock, and he was choking on his own blood. I try to catch my breath as I watch the mummified man hold Eddie's arms down, sinking his teeth deeper into his throat.

I whimper softly and instantly the mummy snaps his head back to look at me.

Without warning, the door to the vault slams closed.

I was finally able to scream and I run to the door, surrounded by darkness.

I scream loudly as I begin to feel along the wall, trying to find a knob, or a switch.

I begin sobbing as I fail to find one, and I turn around putting my back against the wall.

In the darkness, I see a set of glowing red eyes glaring at me.

I scream again, and this time it speaks.

"Silence."

Instantly my voice cuts off and I close my mouth shaking in fear.

The eyes slowly move closer to me, till they were about a foot away, staring into my soul.

".... Lilith.."it whispers.

I take in a Shakey breath before I speak.

"You- you know my name?"I ask quietly.

"You...freed me..."

".. you're the man from m-my dreams?"I ask softly.

It chuckles in the darkness.

"Man?....No.."

My lips quiver and I swallow down hard.

"What are you going to do to me."I whimper.

The man doesn't respond for a bit, simply staring into my eyes.

"....what year?....what day?"

"I-its 2035... September 20th."I say softly.

The red eyes widen in disbelief before turning around again.

"...where..is Melanie..?"

"I-i don't know who that is."I whimper.

His eyes turn back to me and they look angry.

"..you will take me...to your home...I must eat."he whispers.

"You want me to-"

Suddenly the man lets out an animalistic growl and steps closer to me, to where we were nearly nose to nose.

"..NOW."

I only nod as I try to find the handle to open the door.

I shake as the cloaked man wonders around my house, his face still wet with Eddie's blood.

"I um, if you would let me towards the kitchen, I could make you something to eat."I say, slightly scared.

"No human food. Blood. I need fresh blood."the man says.

"....y-you're a vampire?"I say, taking a few steps back.

He turns to look at me, his aged sling and red eyes give an expression of disgust.

"A vampire? I am the vampire."he says, taking a few steps closer.

"I-i'm sorry, I'm sorry. I don't think I know what that means."I say, looking down.

"Why? Do they not teach of me in that fancy fucking museum?"he asks, stumbling towards the couch.

"And who might you be for them to teach about you in the museum?"I ask.

He looks at the backs of his aged hands and groans.

"You will bring me 4 strong, young men. And then I will reveal my identity."he says.

"What? Why?"I question.

He looks at me angrily, and suddenly the bite mark on my neck begins to burn.

I hiss as I bring my hand to my neck.

"Because you now serve me. You've followed all my instructions so far, so you will continue. Or you will become one of the 4 I need."he says as he stands up from the couch.

"I need them before the 26th."he says.

"What?! 6 days to find 4 people for you to do the same thing you did to Eddie?!"I whine.

"You will obey me or die."he says harshly.

"I may be weak now, but a little thing like you could buy me enough strength to hunt for myself."he says coldly.

My lips quiver and I look down.

"And you'll leave me alone if I do this?"I ask.

"Something like that."he responds before going towards Eddie's bedroom.

I blink tears from my eyes as he walks in, closing the door behind him.

"THE CLOCK IS TICKING!"he shouts from inside.
