So,” Jungwon says, twirling his straw around the singular ice cube left in his cup. “Jay’s coming to the mall with us on Saturday.”

Sunoo nearly drops the bowl that he’s holding. “Jay? As in, like, Park Jay? Like, your mortal enemy, Park Jay? The one you complain about nonstop?” he asks incredulously.

Jungwon frowns. “He’s not that bad anymore. I don’t know. I tolerate him, I guess. Anyways, he’s saving me from third wheeling you and Riki, at least. Thank god.”

Sunoo raises a brow. “You know what this sounds like? Me and Riki and you and him, all going to the mall together?”

Jungwon gapes at him for a moment, because what the fuck, he hadn’t thought of that, and it might be a major issue. “It’s not gonna be a—a double date, ew. No way.”

“I mean, whatever you say, Jungwonie, but you know damn well what it looks like,” Sunoo tells him.

“Just two bros and a couple hanging out. That’s what it looks like. Okay?” Jungwon says, and he’s mostly just trying to convince himself, because the fact that he and Jay are practically going on a double date—they’re double date adjacent, maybe—is freaking him out. Like, a lot.

Sunoo isn’t helping. “Remember what I said about sexual tension,” he simpers, looking pleased with himself. Jungwon wants to sock him in the face.

But it’s fine. Everything is fine. Jungwon will just do what he’s best at: ignore his problems and carry on. Sunoo’s stupid and it’s probably not a big deal. It’ll be fine.
