BFB Oneshots (REQUESTS OPEN)

This was requested by @hi_imtaco. The story happens during BFB

Gelatin was feeling extra chaotic today, so he grabbed Firey by the arm, and went to find Bomby. He wasn't with their team, nor was Naily, so Gelatin was on the hunt once again.

Nickel's POV

I'm at a team BEEP meeting, and Leafy's about to assign everyone's jobs for the day's chores where I can hear shouting outside.
"Oh, Bomby! Where are you?" Gelatin's trying to blow him up again. Great. Despite being advised against leaving the meeting, I walk outside. I can still hear Leafy screaming at me to come back. Like most other times, I don't listen.
"Gelatin, what the copper are you doing, and why's Firey with you?"
"Isn't it obvious? Bomby needs his daily blow up."
"Ah. That may be where the problem occurs."
"What do you mean?"
"You see, I'm not gonna let you do that to him."
"What are you gonna do? Oh, I know! Why don't you grab me? With your arms." I gasp at the offence.
"You've crossed a line. I'll be back." And I run off.

Bomby's POV

I miss Nickel. But ever since he joined Team Beep, he's always been saying that he has to 'stay committed', because he knows how Leafy is when she's mad. So, I never get to see him. Which is a shame because apart from Naily, nobody really cares. And now Gelatin's constantly out to get me. Speaking of Gelatin, I can hear him calling me.
"Bomby! Where are you?" I hide in the nearest bush, and stay as silent as possible. Unfortanely, I'm pretty tall.
"Aha! Found you! You have nowhere to hide now."
"Wait, no, please don't do this!"
"Let me think... I will."
"Gelatin, don't make me do this please," Firey says from behind him.
"Be quiet, Fireball. Now time for the lighting."

Nickel's POV

He's found Bomby. I can see Gelatin with Firey about to light him. I have to do something about this. But I'm armless and... no, Nickel, you have to do something.

Gelatin's POV

What's Nickel doing here? He's standing in front of Bomby, protecting him. I can't do much apart from laugh.
"And what exactly are you gonna do?"
"That's a good question... that I do not know the answer to."
"I'll wait for your response, because I'm just such a nice person..." Nickel thinks for a second before his eyes light up.
"Oh, I know! I'll tell everyone about Bar-"
"Shut up! You weren't even meant to find out. Damn it, you were lucky this time, but I'll be back!" How dare he use my own social life against me!

Bomby's POV

Woah... he just did that. It wasn't morally correct, but it was really nice of him.
"Thanks for helping me."
"No problem. That's what best friends are for."
"Yeah... best friends..."
"Anything wrong, Bomby?" Nickel asks, concerned. I feel myself heating up so much, I won't even need Firey to light my fuse. Why do I feel like this? It can't be...
"Uh, yeah- um- yes, everything is fine."
"Good. Look, Leafy's probably furious right now, so I have to get back. See you soon?"
"Mhm. Yep." I have to talk to Naily. She will know this feeling.

"Bomby... it seems you like him," Naily says, as if diagnosing me.
"Yeah, but what do I do about it?"
"Well, what do you do if you like someone?"
"Ask them out?"
"Bingo."
"OK then... how do I do that?"
"Just be yourself, and you'll nail it!"

Nickel's POV

Bomby and I meet up near the swingset.
"Nickel... I have to tell you something."
"What is it?"
"You know what? It's better if I show you." He edged closer to me, and plants a kiss on my cheek. Bomby smiles awkwardly.
"So... yeah. That's what I want to talk to you about."
"Oh, um... OK."
"It's okay to say no, it's just I needed to get that of my chest."
"Well, uh... I guess in a way, if you read between the lines really carefully, you could say that I like you too." That's the most Nickel thing I think I've ever said, and that's including things such as, "Well, holy moly in my ravioli!".
