22. Picking Sides? Not Tu's Thing P2

"Take that, you lousy Dragon Hunter." Tuff stood behind one of our training dummies. "You're dealin' with Stoick the Vast now, boy-oy-oy-oy!"

"Snotlout! Snotlout! Oy-oy-oy-oy-oy-oy!" Tuff mimicked Snotlout, standing behind one of his scareships.

"I mean, who hunts dragoms anyway? Dragons are out friends." Astrid stood behind a scareships and did her spot on impression of Hiccup.

"Don't mess with us!" I mimicked Gobber. "We'll beat you to a pulp!"

"I'm Fishlegs! This is how I sound! It's really me!" Tuff yelled before pushing some boulders down towards the hunters. "That's right. You don't want none."

I grinned as the hunters retreated.

We went back to the clubhouse. Tuff looked through a spyglass to see many more hunters heading our way. "Oh, come on! Are these guys serious? What is it gonna take?" He exclaimed.

"Guys, take your dragons and go." Tuff said. "These Dragon Hunters are never gonna give up, no matter what we do. I'll hold them off so y'all can make it out."

"No way. I'm not leaving you." Astrid said.

"I said I was defend this place until I die, and that's what I'm going to do." I said sternly.

We ducked as arrows shot above our heads. "All right, whatever we're going to do, we need to do it fast." Astrid told us.

"What do you think about another crazy, out of control, brilliant idea?" Tuff brainstormed.

"Sounds perfect." I grinned.

I watch from the cliff as Ryker shouted at his men to kill all of us.

"Good evening, Mr. Ryker. We've been expecting you." Tuff said, petting Chicken as I stood beside him.

"You can start with these two. But save the chicken. I like chicken." Ryker pointed.

"You wish you could have her." I told the man. Tuff started to yell gibberish, calling the Night Terrors to form a Night Fury.

Ryker shot Smidvarg out of the sky, causing the Terrors to split up. "You don't think I've seen what Night Terrors can do? You people never learn. " Ryker said. I held up my arm and let Sapphire swoop down and grab me. She flipped me onto my saddle as we hovered in the air next to Stormfly.

"I could say the same for you, Ryker." Astrid retorted. "Stormfly, now!" On command, the dragon shot at the group of Night Terrors, caus them to fly after the hunters, stealing their weapons.

Astrid and I landed on the ground. Dagur tackled her and they started to fight. I looked at Heather. "Miss me?" She held up her axe.

"Not a bit." I replied, swinging my sword at her.

The two of us started to fight, not intend to hurt each other. We were just playing into our roles. Our weapons clinked against each other as we fought.

I heard plasma blast and my head snapped to see Hiccup coming towards us. The rising sun was behind him and a whole pack of dragons.

The others helped us fend off the hunters. Heather blew her horn, causing Windshear to come pick her up. She pushed Ruff off of her dragon and flew off. Luckily, Tuff caught his sister.

I jumped onto my saddle as I watched Chip set a small boat on fire. "Good job!" I called to him. I looked around at the pack of wild dragons that was helping is defend the Edge and wondered how Hiccup did it.

"Ryker!" Hiccup yelled, an angry look on his face.

"We will meet again, Hiccup Haddock!" Ryker shouted as Heather has Windshear swoop down and grab him.

"How did you manage to hold them off for some long?" Hiccup asked us.

"It's called teamwork. Right, guys?" Astrid looked at Tuff, Dahlia, and I.

"I'll go along with that." Tuff said. "Since I am the captain of Team Tuffnut." Chicken clucked in agreement.

"Well, you must be feeling extra guilty." Ruff walled up, looking at Astrid.

"Actually, I am." My girlfriend admitted.

"And sorry." Ruff added.

"Definitely."

"And completely, 100 percent embarrassed and exposed." Ruff said. Astrid gave her a look. "Too much? Sorry. I accept your apology, my dear Astrid."

"Hiccup, we've got to return these dragons to their island." Fishlegs came out of the stables. "We just do not have the room." It sounded like chaos in there.

"Okay, who's up for a fiel trip?" Hiccup asked.

"Ooh, me!" I raised my hand. We took off, Dahlia riding with Hiccup since River was still recovering.

"You guys have got to see this island." Hiccup told us excitedly.
