Marjorie stared at the pair in utter shock. Her kiss with Autumn replaying in her head over and over again as she saw both of them sitting there. Autumn stood her eyes wide as she walked towards the brunette slowly. "Marjorie, please, let's talk in the bathroom." Autumn said directing the brunette to a private space.Once they entered Autumn locked the door and looked over to Marjorie who had tears forming in her eyes. "What the hell?!" Marjorie said her voice slightly raised but quiet enough that they couldn't be heard. "Marjorie it's just a dinner as friends, he wanted to tell me he's seeing someone new." Autumn said trying to make sure she didn't break winters trust but can still get her point across to the woman she's falling for.
Marjorie paced back and forth her hands threading through her hair. "I.... I..... I can't believe this! I was about to end things with Reece.... For.... For you! And you go on a date with winter?!" Marjorie said as tears freely fell down her face. "It wasn't a date Marjorie..." Autumn said rolling her eyes. Autumn wasn't one for emotions, Marjorie was one to express them fully. It was the only thing that Autumn had a love hate relationship with about the brunette.
"I need to go Reece is waiting for me." Marjorie said trying to walk past Autumn. Autumn reached out and grabbed Marjorie's wrist stopping her from leaving. "Won't you just listen to me!" She said frustratingly. Marjorie ripped her arm out of autumns grasp and walked out the door slamming it behind her. She took a deep breath and put on a smile before walking back to her table with Reece. "Hey gorgeous you ok? I ordered you a rosé while you were gone." Reece said with a smile.
Marjorie smiled lovingly at him sitting down with a sigh, "I've never been better." She lied as they both looked at the menu, "oh what was it you wanted to talk to me about?" Reece said curiously. "Hm? Oh it's nothing don't worry." Marjorie said grabbing his hand. As they were discussing what to order Autumn and winter both walked past their table Autumn glaring at the couples intertwined hands. "Oh hey aut! Hey winter! How are you two? Are you two finally back together?" The blonde asked with a smile.
"No, no this was just a friendly dinner." Winter said with a small smile, Marjorie rolled her eyes. Thankfully Sara had made her way to them before the conversation could continue. Autumn and winter left the restaurant as Marjorie and Reece placed their dinner order. Truthfully Marjorie just wanted to go home, she felt sick after seeing winter and autumn together. The feeling of autumns lips still lingered on hers.
Marjorie rushed them through dinner claiming she was exhausted and wanted to go home. They made it inside where Marjorie bee lined for the shower locking the door behind her. After she got into the shower she broke down. Her silent sobs causing her body to shake. The only person on her mind was Autumn. She allowed herself a few minutes to let it out before she composed herself. She made her way out of the shower getting dressed and wrapping herself under the covers in Reece's arms.
The couple quickly fell asleep as the brunettes dreams filled with autumn. Marjorie woke up before Reece, she quickly got dressed heading downstairs and leaving him a note saying she forgot to tell him she had an early meeting with a parent. It was a complete lie but truthfully Marjorie just wanted to be alone with her thoughts.
She drove to the nursery and went inside, she didn't even bother turning the lights on. As she made her way to the office she kept the lights off and curled up in a ball on the sofa. She didn't realize it but she had dozed off. It wasn't until the lights turned on that she jumped up. She was met face to face with Autumn who looked at her worriedly. "Marjorie what are you doing here? Did you sleep here?" The brunette asked thinking that her and her brother broke up and he kicked her out.
"Hm? What? No. Why do you care" Marjorie said annoyed. Autumn rolled her eyes before snapping at the brunette. "How many times do I need to explain it wasn't a date. I want you Marjorie!" Autumn said her voice raised. Marjorie just scoffed in disbelief. "Please I saw the way you ripped your hand away from his." Marjorie said crossing her arms over her chest.
"I can't believe I was about to leave Reece for you. After everything. You go back to him." Marjorie says hurt showing in her eyes as she looks at Autumn. "You don't even know what you want Marjorie! Even if I did get back with winter so what! You have no say on who I spend my time with when you can't get your head out of your ass long enough to tell me what you want from me!" Autumn finally broke. She hated fighting with the brunette but sometimes it did happen and it hurt her heart.
She knew Majorie wasn't one to listen right away. She knew the brunette well enough to know she liked to assume things. "Tell me Marjorie what is it that you want! Tell me what you want from me!" She yelled as she saw the brunette staring at her but not saying anything.
"It doesn't matter." Marjorie said getting defensive. "Oh please no one gets this upset over nothing Marjorie. Tell me." She said again as the brunette shook her head. "Marjorie I swear to god spit it out before I-..." she was interrupted by Marjorie finally bursting.
"I didn't plan on falling in love with you!" She screamed as tears streamed down her face. "I didn't plan on waking up one day and realizing I chose the wrong person. That my person was there all along. I didn't plan on falling for my closest friend!" Marjorie screamed as her blue eyes met autumns.
Autumn stared at her, her face showing several different emotions all at once.
"What did you say?"
