"No way!" Cathryn called out to the annoyance of everything else in the room, especially Freddy. She struggled to keep her feet under herself as she tripped backwards and ended up once again pressed against the wall.

"You must," Freddy practically growled.

For a moment, Cathryn's blood ran cold. Then she instinctively glanced at the open door by her side.

The bear chirped commands faster than Cathryn could move. She slid against the freezing wall towards the open door, barely stopping in time to avoid getting smacked by a blur flying across the room. It collided with the button, slamming the metal door shut, and when Cathryn looked down, she realized the ammo had been her fallen tennis shoe she'd tried throwing earlier.

She glanced over to see Chica, still ready to throw anything else in arms reach at Freddy's command.

"Fix him," came the bloodcurdling voice of Freddy Fazbear, low and dangerous. It had a way of reminding Cathryn of the horrific scraping sounds she'd heard against the door since night one.

Foxy, from over one of Freddy's shoulders, glared at her with one singular eye. The other was blocked by his eyepatch, but Cathryn could practically feel its hate-filled stare targeted at her. The fox with bare metal feet stepped on the energy drink that had rolled near him earlier, crushing the can easily under his weight. His visible eye twitched rapidly from side to side. The liquid steadily trickled onto the ground.

Cathryn gulped, glancing back to Bonnie's waiting, crouched stance before looking at Chica and the smoldering giant teddy bear.

"I can't!" her voice cracked, filled with desperation. If it weren't for Chica's obedient look in her eye as the bird turned to Freddy, waiting for instruction, Cathryn would've dared to re-open the door and escape. She knew, deep down, even if Chica wasn't around, she wouldn't be able to move fast enough to get away.

"Fix him," Freddy repeated in the same tone.

"I don't know how!"

"You have to!"

"Don't kill me, wait!" Cathryn screamed, blocking her face with her hands when the bear pounded one foot aggressively into the ground. She peeked through her twitching fingers, surprised to see that the floor wasn't dented. "Pl-Please. I-I don't know what you're talking about. I don't know how to fix him," Cathryn whimpered.

There was a time in her life where she wouldn't have imagined her voice could make such a meek sound. After all those years hanging out with Markus and shooing annoying bullies away, Cathryn was used to standing up for herself. But now? She felt like a leaf in a hurricane, with no control over where she went or how she acted. She was lost, petrified, and fearing for her life.

"You have to. You're the only one who can."

"Why me?" That certainly wasn't the only question buzzing around Cathryn's mind, but she surprised herself when she followed it up with, "Why him?"

Freddy had commanded her to "Fix us", so why Bonnie first? Why the annoying rabbit with the guitar and the sick sense of humor who always taunted her in the cameras?

"You're the only one who can reach, and who might get close enough," Freddy said, ignoring her last question.

"To what?"

"There is a box in his throat, and connected to it should be a chip. Get the chip."

"And do what?" Cathryn found her voice growing louder with each question, as if her courage was threatening to return. Then the bear scowled at her and all bravery vanished.
