[One week since the last chapter, 3:00 am]

Enid wakes up to the sound of gagging from the bathroom. After rolling over she quickly realizes Wednesday is not in bed next to her.

"Wens?" Enid calls out, swinging her feet over the side of the bed. She is barely awake but she makes her way towards the bathroom.

The door is cracked letting a small ray of light into the room. The ray grows when Enid cautiously pushes the door further.

When Enid peaks her head in to the bathroom, she sees her roomie leaning over the toilet, her braids hanging down her shoulders messily. Wednesday's black nails grip the edge of the seat.

"Wens?" Enid calls out again, this time much quieter.

Wednesday simply responds with a groan, not lifting her head up. Enid feels her chest tighten.

"Are you okay?" Enid tiptoes over to Wednesday and sits on the floor next to her.

"It's just a stupid cold," Wednesday replies, her body shaking.

Enid doesn't know what to do, so she just places her hand on Wednesday's back. To Enid's surprise, Wednesday relaxes against the touch. Normally Wednesday would have tended even more.

"What can I do?" Enid whispers. She wants to help. She wants to make Wednesday all better. She would take this sickness for herself if she meant she could see her roomie all better.

Wednesday has never behaved like this, it is scary for Enid. She is normally so strong.

Wednesday stays silent for a moment, "I don't know," she sighs, "I thought I was going to throw up but now I just feel so cold and tired."

Enid hand feels like it's burning against Wednesday's skin even through her sleep shirt.

"Come on Wens," Enid wraps her arms around Wednesday's ribs and hoists her up carefully. Thank god for her werewolf strength.

Enid scoops Wednesday up koala style and carries her out of the bathroom and into the bed. Wednesday holds on weakly.

Enid lays Wednesday down and pulls the covers over her shivering body. Wednesdays face looks even paler than usual.

Every pharmacy around will be undoubtedly closed at this hour, so Enid promises herself she will go pick up medicine in the morning.

Enid walks onto the other side of the bed and slides under the covers as well.

"Enid." Wednesday calls out.

"Yes?" Enid wishes she could make all of Wednesdays pain go away.

"It's too cold," Wednesday sneezes in a shockingly  high pitched manner, causing Enid's heart to melt. She wishes she could record that adorable noise and play it back over and over.

"Do you want me to start a fire in the fireplace?" Enid asks.

There is a pause. In reality it likely lasts only a few seconds but it feels as if it goes on for an hour.

"I want you to hold me," Wednesday replies.

Enid freezes. Hold Wednesday?... Hold Wednesday!?! They haven't done anything so touchy since that one afternoon on the lake. Enid's stomach begins to flutter as if it is going to explode.

"Are you sur-"

"Yes." Wednesday interrupts. Her voice is stern but weak.

"Okay," Enid whispers, sliding over closer. She wraps a cautious arm around Wednesday and pulls her in to spoon her.
