My laptop was open on the table in front of me, my banking apps open. Cash was also spread out on the table."So, in total, I've got..." I put some numbers into my phone calculator.
"Around 2,500,000 yen to spend on a car." I said to myself. Did I seriously want to spend that much on a car? No, I could get a perfectly fine running car for 1,500,000 yen. I opened a used car site, scrolling through the options. Most of them were shit, but I found one I liked. A bright white coloured Audi, 5 door, wasn't that old either. I don't know much about cars, but it looked fine. I sent the money to the seller, telling him I don't need to come look at it first- I liked the look of it, and wanted to snap it up. But as long as it gets me from point A to B, then it works for me. He said I could come pick it up this evening.
In the meantime, I had to go see Powerloader.
"Majima, are you busy?" I peered into the support studies classroom. We knew each other a lot by this point, considering how often I had to go to him for my students.
"Never too busy for our Heroics teacher. What do you need L/N?" He invited me into the classroom. Various kids were working on projects- some of them I had met recently through the self-defence workshop.
"I have this student I'm trying to mentor, I was hoping you'd be able to help me make some kind of voice changer." He nodded along, making some notes.
"That's easy enough. I might have something like that lying around already." I laughed nervously.
"Uh, the thing is, it can't use a microphone or speaker. If his voice is transmitted electronically, his quirk won't work. Also, he's a general studies student." He wrote this down as well.
"Oh. The school won't cover costs for me to make things for non-Heroics students. But, if a student does it, it's free as it counts as schoolwork. Hatsume!" He called over to his student. Hatsume walked over, a girl with pink hair, covered in... Oil? Grease? Dirt?
"I need you to make something like this, for..." He looked at me as he handed over the sheet of notes to the girl.
"Shinso Hitoshi." I added. She nodded vigorously.
"Ooo, that's interesting! Of course! Give me a couple days at most." She seemed very eager to start.
"Really? Is that all?" I asked. Powerloader sighed.
"Yeah, she does this a lot. Trust me, it'll be done quicker than that probably." And in the time he had said it, Hatsume was already working away.
"Anyways, thanks Majima."
"No problem! Come by anytime." He waved me off, and the sound of power tools faded into the background as I walked off. Now, it was off to the staff office to find Aizawa. Looking into the room, Aizawa and Present Mic were at their cubicles next to each other working.
"Ai- Aizawa, are you busy after school?" He turned around in his chair. Hizashi turned around too, raising his eyebrows up and down suggestively. I avoided making eye contact with the black-haired man.
"No, why?" Aizawa replied. Hizashi was listening intently.
"I've bought a car, I was hoping you'd be able to take me to pick it up. Please." He laughed slightly.
"Finally. Yes, I can do that." Perfect, now I had a ride. But, Hizashi seemed like he wanted to say something.
"Aw, now you can't give her rides anymore Aizawa!" Aizawa scoffed at his friend. In my head, I was thinking does he like giving rides to me? Does he like spending time with me? What was he saying about me to Hizashi?!
