Blues and greys (2)

Start from the beginning

"Yours looks terrible too, you know, you should take care of yourself more." I said in a slightly sulky tone.

"Okay, I will," she chuckled, "I'll bring some chamomile tea for you when I'll come back, it's a lot better than the instant coffee you've be chugging." She smiles and said.

How does she know that I've been living off instant coffee? I was very curious so I asked.

"How do you know I've been drinking coffee?"

"A mother knows everything." It made me sad when she said that. She is a beautiful mother who lost her daughter and I am a...

"Of course you do."  I said. She tightly hugged me before leaving, how long has it been since someone hugged me? Or even touched me? It still feels a little sad though, she's probably just hugging her daughter she sees in me. That's right, why else would anyone be so kind and hug someone like me? I should go study now, I have to make use of my weekend.

(11 hours later) 4:07 Pm

*Ding* *Dong*

"Ugh...my head hurts,"

*Ding* *Dong*

"I wonder if it's the person miss Sasha told me about." I got up from the chair of my study table, a strong sensation of pain in my back and legs hit me. My body felt sore and every step towards the door was a mental war. I somehow reached and opened the door, the sunlight
piercing through my eyes making me feel blinded.

"Your keys-" huh? What's happening? my vision. shit, I'm losing my balance.

I don't remember much of what happened but, what I do remember is a familiar voice calling my name again and again with a worried tone. I remember someone gently holding me. It was kinda comforting.

The next morning: 9:03 Am

I opened my eyes slowly, and then closed it back as the light from the window entered it. I hate sunlight. I quickly sit up which resulted my back to ack a little and a piece of cloth fell off from my forehead. Completely ignoring that I desperately crawled towards my window which was there across my bed to close the curtain. "Phew, one more second and I would've burned to death." Just as I was grinning and praising myself I realised that my body doesn't hurt anymore and soon after I got flashbacks from what happened yesterday. I let out a silent scream. "What the hell did I just do?! Am I crazy?! I can't believe I fainted in front a stranger!" I panicked and scolded myself for quite some time.

I went to the kitchen to get some water and I couldn't believe what I saw. I rubbed my eyes to see if I'm just seeing things. My ugly-duckling-like-kitchen has turned into a  pretty-swan-like-kitchen. "Am I sure that it's real and I'm not just tripping?" I couldn't believe my eyes. "Is this what magic is? Did a fairy do this for me?" I was creating many surreal scenarios in my head until I saw a note on my kitchen counter. It was written in a pretty handwriting.

I hope that you are feeling better as you're reading this note.
It really scared me yesterday when you suddenly collapsed like that.
I never expected that the 'ever-so-perfect-Luna'  can have such a messy kitchen.
(No offence)
Though I somehow did expect you  faint one day because of overworking and fever.
Hope you didn't mind me cleaning the kitchen, I couldn't leave it as it is.
And lastly, I made some porridge so heat it up and be sure to eat it all!
Hope you feel better soon.

I heated the porridge and one bite was enough to make me brawl my eyes out. I've never ever had anyone take care of me when I was sick. It's been ages since I've eaten a  proper meal. "It's so freaking delicious." A small-whisper-like-thank you escaped my lips on every bite.

And once again, when I felt like I'm drowning and there is no way out, you took my hand and pulled me out of this darkness. I think I'm falling for you.
