Season 1, Episode 12: Code Breaker
We were out. The fresh air slowing against my weakened body was refreshing, it was the only thing keeping me from totally passing out.
I was shocked to see just how close we were to the house once we were out. In fact, I didn't even recognize that the cellar we were in was connected to the house.
"Hey, hold on, hold on, hold on," Derek stopped us as he trailed behind. "Something doesn't feel right."
I looked around, also getting an uneasy feeling. Something wasn't sitting right.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know, it's- it's kind of like it's--" Derek began, but Scott was quick to cut him off.
"No, don't say 'too easy'. People say 'too easy' and bad things happen," Scott interjected. "What, do you think finding you guys was easy? Getting away from Allison's dad? None of this has been easy!"
Derek sighed, glancing around again. "Fine, You're right."
I smirked. "I didn't think the day would come when you'd say that," I teased weakly.
"Thank you!" Scott sighed, giving himself a mental pat on the back.
Almost as soon as Scott finished thanking Derek, the whoosh of an arrow flew past us and lodged itself into Derek's shoulder.
Yup, I knew it was too good to be true.
"Derek!" I panicked, trying to reach for my brother.
"Now the leg," I heard Kates voice. She was here, and she wasn't alone.
I had no time to panic as two more arrows flew in our direction. One of them lodged into Dereks leg, and the other right into my stomach.
I gasped for air as I fell to the ground. Seriously, how the hell am I not dead yet? I could feel my life literally slipping away.
"NO!" Derek yelled, watching me go down.
"Flash-bolt."
"Scott, your eyes!" Derek shouted, hearing Kates words.
The next arrow whizzed through the air, lodging itself into the tree behind us and flashing a bright light. Scott went down with that one, coving his head as he hit the ground.
Derek jumped up, ripping out the two arrows that pierced his skin. "Liz!" He panicked, running to me and pulling my arrow out.
I let out a loud scream at the sudden pain, tears filling my eyes.
"Come on, it's okay," Derek said as he lifted me up himself, running over to Scott, grabbing him by the shirt and giving him a nudge forward. " Get up! Let's go!"
"Natural talent."
Derek quickened his pace as he ran with me, but I could feel that he couldn't do it. His leg was hurt and his arm was hurt. We weren't going to make it far.
"Scott, GO!" Derek yelled as we reached closer to the house.
Derek stumbled over, the both of us rolling on the ground. We were farther apart now, not even bothering to move anymore. We're surrounded.
Two sets of footsteps came towards us. Through my half shut eyes and blurry vision, I could make out that one of them was definitely Kate. But the other one, she was tall and had long dark hair. Allison.
Scott looked up, spotting Allison immediately. "Allison, I can explain," He said, crawling backwards.
"Stop lying," Allison barked at him. "For once, stop lying."
