A/N: Hey guys! I hope you're well! I know I don't need to put a note at the beginning of every chapter but, it feels polite. So how are you? How was your day/night? What did you eat for breakfast/lunch/dinner? Sounds delicious. Enjoy!

Y/N was warned by her mother to stop showing up to classes late, as it would have an effect on her grade. Effect on the image of the hero more like, as she got rid of y/n's brother for that exact reason. That wasn't true, but what else was the young girl supposed to assume? Her mother would never tell her anything. It wasn't really an option this time to be late however, as a big, hyped up new added part of the hero course was available on this day. It meant that other classes were rearranged so that the full day could be spent in the special, newly designed area. And so, they needed to take a bus to get there...

The young Shimura made a point of actually being first for once, as she wanted to pick her spot on the bus. Her choice was close to the back, with only one seat next to hers. She could only hope that no one would sit next to her. Silently, y/n watched the front of the bus as people entered, unaware of the fact that she was actually looking for someone subconsciously. Unknown to her, she lit up a little when she saw the familiar blonde hair and cold blue eyes that she had spent her lunches with for the past few weeks. She had no idea how it happened, but she found herself kind of hoping that he would sit next to her, his company being the one she enjoyed the most out of anyone. Although she hadn't made any attempt to talk to anyone, he was the most persistent in getting to know, not only her, but everyone in his class. He'd already made a rival even.

As All Might scanned the vehicle, looking for a place to sit, his eyes brightened as he noticed the daughter of his master sitting alone. Yet as he stepped forward to approach her, the seat conveniently became occupied. Too focused on the boy that had captured her interest recently, she was surprised when someone else had sat next to her. But when she realised that it was Ganto, she grumbled to herself as she glared through the glass window. Ganto...He was okay...

He always came on very strong, and it was obvious that he wanted to be more than friends with the girl next to him. But that didn't mean he was all bad, sure, his bad habit of making everything a flirt was annoying, but he has quickly learned when to tone it down, especially around y/n. After a few weeks of testing boundaries, she had actually found them having quite nice conversations, for lack of a better word. He was just, okay...

As the bus began to move y/n found herself starting to evaluate her progress at UA mentally. She had always shown up late to every class, and never really paid attention, and it was a miracle that she was actually keeping up with homework. In fact, she excelled in that, leaving her teachers constantly surprised by her good grades although she really wasn't the ideal student. There was potential, but y/n knew that. "Just apply yourself." Her teachers would say. But she didn't want to, she hadn't wanted to do anything with her life since her dad had died, and losing her brother made everything feel pointless. A smart, focused young girl had within a week, turned into a bitter, spiteful girl who wanted nothing to do with the world she was in. It would stay that way. She had no social life at school either, well, apart from Ganto and All Might. While her friendship with Ganto was okay, she couldn't help her mind always landing onto the other hero trainee, whose undeniable charm had rubbed off on her. As much as she hated to admit it, she was glad he was a friend of hers. He made school just a little bit more bearable.

When the bus stopped, Ganto had finally stopped talking her ear off. His mind distracted by the same thing as everyone else was, a large, newly built, dome-like building shocking them all. In an orderly fashion, each person left the building, with y/n coming out last. As the rest of the students walked ahead, guided by a hero who waited for them at the facility, y/n was stopped by her homeroom teacher. Looking up at him, her e/c orbs met a harsh gaze, it only took a week for this teacher to dislike her. It had been scolding after scolding ever since, but y/n would never argue back. She never had the courage for fear of losing her place at the academy.
