"Phew... today is one of the hottest days in autumn. It is good weather for swimming."
Mualani exclaimed and shielded her eyes from the sun while kachina walked next to her.
"Yeah. Thankfully the pool is open today! I need to cool down."

Mualani paid for both of them and they walked into the pool.
The sounds of laughter, splashing, and cicadas made the atmosphere perfect.
"Here, let's go find a spot! And then we can start playing."
Kachina smiled and lead Mualani over to a chair.
"Here. Let's set the bag down and get some sunscreen on. And then we can hit the water!"
Mualani set the pool bag down and grabbed a bottle of sunscreen from it.

After a minute or two of applying sunscreen, they were now protected from the sun.
Kachina ran into the pool and Mualani followed after her.
"Woohoo!"
Mualani yelled as she cannonballed into the pool. Water spraying everywhere.
Kachina swam around and let her rock sink to the bottom, just so she could swim down and get it.
"The water is perfect today."
Mualani said to herself as she looked at the sky. An inflatable beach-ball in her hands.
Mualani flinched when she felt a tap on her shoulder
"Hello."
Thankfully, it was just Kinich and Ajaw.
"Oh, heeeey Kinich!"
Kachina greeted them from a few feet away as she re-emerged from the water,
"..."
Mualani... hadn't ever really seen Kinich.... Shirtless before...
Why was she staring?
Mualani quickly looks away and back at his eyes.
"Hello, Kinich! Why are you here?"
"It's—"
Before Kinich could say anything, he was interrupted.
"—The Almighty Dragonlord... K'uhul Ajaw was burning to a crisp on my servants bed.. so I got my loyal servant to take me to a place with cold water. And I was brought to this oasis... but yeesh... I didn't know they let maggots in the pool..."
"Ajaw. Dont be rude."
Kinich said and shot Ajaw a quick glare.
"We came here because it was hot today."
Kinich replied and put a hand on his hip.
"Oh, me and kachina did the same thing!"
"We can all hang out together if you want..."
Mualani asked and started to panic internally for no reason.
"Sounds fine."
Kinich muttered and pushed Ajaw's floaty away, making Ajaw swim after it.
Mualani stayed close to the shallow end, and stared at Ajaw. Who was now currently splashing Kachina.
Kinich sat next to Mualani and huffed.
"Your oddly quiet today. Is something wrong? I'm not the best at comforting...but I could try."
"No... I just... I'm tired. That's all."
Mualani mumbled and looked away.
Kinich knew damn well that wasn't the case. But he didn't comment on it.
"Sorry about Ajaw."
"Oh, no! You're fine! It's not your fault!"
Mualani waved her hands in front of her.

"Hey, stop it Ajaw!"
Kachina yelped as she tried to swim away.
"Not until you answer my question!"
Ajaw spat back and caught up to kachina.
"What question....?"
Kachina asked and slowed down. Resting in the corner of the pool.
Ajaw swam closer and sat next to her.
"Well... haven't you noticed Mualani? She gets all shy and flustered when Kinich is around. And I caught her staring at him."
"Really?"
Kachina muttered and turned to Kinich and Mualani.
"Hm... I guess your right."
"See? And on my daily snooping missions... I often see Mualani look normal! But around him she's a shy little idiot!"
Ajaw grumbled and gave Mualani and Kinich a glare.
"...."
Kachina stayed quiet and then splashed Ajaw.
"Your just over thinking!"
She yelled and Ajaw splashed back.
"AND?!"
Ajaw yelled back and swam away in his floaty pool ring.

Mualani waved goodbye with kachina as they left the pool.

When mualani got home she went into her room and hid under her covers.
"....what's wrong with me..."
