The waters had finally frozen over. And that meant no more surfing.
Whenever fall or winter came around, Mualani always got upset due to the water freezing.
But it DID mean... she could drink hot cocoa....

Mualani sat in her bed. The white chunks of snow were softly hitting the ground, and covering the whole land in white, thin, sparkling, ice.
Since Christmas was right around the corner, Mualani was going to bu some presents for her friends.
Now, she wasn't the best at picking out gifts in winter... because everything in the stores and markets are always Holiday themed..
Mualani threw on her coat, and a nice big hat. And then left the house.

"Mmmm-"
As Mualani walked down the path, she attempted to catch a snowflakes or two on her tongue. But it wasn't working well.
"Oh? Hi, Xilonen!"
She smiled as Xilonen walked down the path. Also bundled up.
"Hey. I'm buying some groceries. Wanna come along?"
Xilonen asked and crossed her arms.
Mualani nodded happily.
"Sure! Anything for a friend."

Mualani and Xilonen walked together through the stores, and picked up a few things along the way.
She couldn't buy gifts if Xilonen was here.. or she might tell everyone!
Xilonen turned to her as she put some random bag in the cart.
"So... what do you think of Kinich?"
She asked and tilted her head.
"Ah... K-Kinich?"
Mualani stuttered and thought for a moment.

All of her friends knew something was happening between Kinich and her. So they sent Xilonen to reel some information out of her.

"Ah... well, he is kind!... and he helps me a lot... but Ajaw is annoying! He always calls me names...!"
Mualani stammered and crossed her arms.
Xilonen hummed.
"Why?"
"No reason"
Xilonen chuckled and kept walking. Ignoring her question.

Mualani went home after a long day, and flopped down onto her bed.
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggh."
She groaned and pulled out her phone.
Her eyes flickered down to new texts she had.
"Huh? Why would Kinich text me?"
She asked herself and looked at the texts.

Mualani smiled a bit and texted him back

Mualani heated up a bit somehow.
"Huh? I wonder if something is up..."
