THE NEXT MORNING Rose woke up early. Her mom and Natalie will be gone the whole day for valentine's day, she needs to speak with Natalie before that. If she wants to be at the game this Sunday, she has to make sure that she's Saturday in a plane. The most perfect thing would be, if she could land on the day itself, so she doesn't have to stay somewhere on her own.

Rose sneaked into the bedroom of her mom and Natalie. "Nat! Natalie!" She whispered yelled, Natalie stirred awake. "Meet me downstairs in five, we need to talk..." Rose whispered, and before Natalie could respond, she was out of the room. Natalie became a little worried, so she got out of bed, got dressed and went downstairs.

"Rose? You okay darling?" Natalie walked into the kitchen, where Rose sat down at the table. "We need to talk, or better said, I need to talk to you." Rose stated, pointing out to her that she needs to sit. "What's up?" Natalie spoke, still slightly confused.

"I need to find my father, without my mom knowing." Rose said. "Rose I-" "No, let me finish. I need to go to Kansas this week. Travis has a game on Sunday and I can come inside with this VIP pass. It's my only chance to meet him without mom knowing." Rose explained. "Rose-" "No, let me finish Nat. I will pay for my own plane ticket, I will stay at my dad's house. I will have contact with you 24/7. I also made a list why I have to go." Rose explained further.

"Rose! Let me talk now! How weird this may sounds, I agree... When your mom will... you know... You can't stay with me... you're always welcome, but I can't offer you a home with my job. I think it's a good idea to find your dad. I wanted to bring it up with your mom, but I was too scared that she would freak out. I don't even know the whole story. But... how are you planning to do this darling? We need to be realistic..." Natalie spoke, agreeing with Rose. But she needs to look at the realistic side too.

"I already did my research." Rose turned her phone to Nat. "I can get this plane, I will land in Kansas at 11:25am February 18th. The game starts at 2pm. I can call a cab to the stadium, and from there on I will be with dad.. I hope..." Rose told Natalie who listened attentively. "You're too smart for a fourteen year old." She spoke. "About that, I'm allowed to fly alone. I will have a chaperone flight attendant the whole flight." Rose added.

"What are we telling your mom?" Natalie spoke, being realistic again. "How about.. I'm staying with your parents, so that you two can have some alone time... as a gift? For valentine's day?" Rose made up. "Good one.. I can't believe I'm letting you do this... I will do the work from now on. I'll book the flight. I will also make sure that someone will bring you from the airport to the stadium safely, whatever it takes. And I will pay, don't worry okay?" Natalie grabbed her laptop and went to work. Rose stood up, and gave Natalie a hug. "Thank you, do you still want to read my note?" Rose passed the note to Natalie.

Natalie read the note when you went back upstairs. Her heart skipped a beat, it was so sweet, but sad at the same time.

6. I want to yell at him, and ask him why he is so absent in my life.
7. I just want to tell him in his face that he is a horrible dad.
8. I also don't want to put more worries on my mom. I'm 14, I can handle my father my own.

~A WHILE LATER, Natalie knocked on Rose her door. "Darling? Everything is fixed." Natalie popped her head into Rose her room. She gave Rose a paper with a lot of text. "Read this okay? I will go away with your mom soon, come downstairs when you read it okay?" Natalie said. "I will, thank you so much. I love you." Rose took the paper. "I love you too." Natalie said back, and went downstairs.

So Rose, the plan.

Here is your plane information. I will drop you at the airport here in London. This whole trip you will have contact with me, (I do understand not when you're on the plane.) I want you to text me and call me like crazy! Promise me that! Just to make sure you're in good hands. When you land in Kansas, a taxi will be waiting there for you. He will standing in the waiting hall with a sign saying KELCE. Go with him. If you want to be sure, ask for his name, he will say Mike. If it's not Mike, it's the wrong person. I didn't bought a flight back, call me when I need to. I don't know how long you have to stay there, but please, come back as fast as you can. I feel horrible for going behind your mom's back, but it's for a good reason. You're super smart for a fourteen year old girl. You're super strong, and remember. Call me when you need me, okay? I will always be here for you, no matter what happens.

Rose smiled at the letter. Her mother has the best girlfriend ever. She hid it in a drawer, next to the Chiefs VIP pass, and went downstairs. "Rosie, hi baby" Camilla hugged her daughter. "What are your plans for today?" Rose smiled, asking both of them.

Her mother shines. She may be dying in les than 2 months. But she looks good right now, bald, but good. She isn't feeling that sick, gladly. Camilla is enjoying every moment she has with her daughter and girlfriend. She is feeling good now, so she needs to take use to that.

"We will go for lunch! After that, we will go get a matching tattoo!" Camilla beamed happy. "Oh my god! That's so cute!" Rose smiled, she is really happy for her mother. Not that she will die, but that she will die being happy.

Of course Rose is dealing with a lot of pain, but her mother is still here, and that is what matters right now. Her mother is still here, with her. Rose is not greatest at dealing with pain and emotions, but with the help of her mom and Nat, she will get there. Rose will immediately bottle up any feeling she has, it's an instinct.

~DURING LUNCH with Natalie and Camilla, Natalie decided to drop her first surprise. "My love.. my first gift for you, comes from Rose too." Natalie smiled, her heart hurts from lying. Camilla smiled widely. "Rose offered to go to my parents, to give us some alone time.. she won't be gone for long! She told me that she wanted to visit my parent's again... I thought, maybe we can do some fun things...? I already planned a little trip to Paris..." Natalie smiled sweetly. "Really? Rose offered that? That's... amazing.. just, she can't be away for too long, I want to spend all my time with you and her... All the time I have left..." Camilla smiled, while she grabbed her girlfriend's hand. "Babe... let's not talk about that today, let's enjoy today okay..? I love you darling." Natalie spoke, feeling a lump in her throat. "I love you too baby." Camilla smiled sadly.
