Y/n got to Jinx's hideout, but her sister was nowhere to be found. So she decided to walk around, look through her works, hoping to pass the time until her sister comes back.
Even Jinx had pieces of Y/n here and there. But unlike Ekko, it wasn't just flowers. It was simple things that reminded her of Y/n. Like her first metalic claws that she changed but didn't have the heart to throw out, or the little rock that Y/n found and said that it looked like a heart, so she gave it to Jinx. Or her old clocks that broke or just simply didn't work, that Jinx always said that she will repair, but Y/n just told her to keep them and use the parts for something else, but Jinx never took them apart, she always kept it how Y/n gave it to her.
Or the little hearts that Y/n always drew on Jinx's plan notes whenever she wasn't looking, Jinx never erased them and never threw out those notes. Here and there were flower petals that dried up, but Jinx never threw them away, because Y/n placed them there to make the place prettier. Or the mirror that Y/n gifted Jinx, it was broken by now, but Jinx didn't throw it out and kept it on the wall.
They weren't blood sister, Jinx had a sister who was actually related to her by blood, and yet Jinx stayed with Y/n and said that Y/n was always the sister that she wished to have, but instead she got Vi who left her. At least that's what Y/n knows.
Y/n was never an inventor, but if she ever had an idea then Jinx turned it into a reality. And Y/n always got her parts whenever she could, and even if the parts were useless for Jinx, she never threw them out. Because she got them from her sister. And Jinx always kept an extra chair at the table, so Y/n could sit beside her whenever she wanted to watch Jinx work, and Y/n always watched Jinx with eyes that held nothing, but adoration and care.
They were the proof that family doesn't have to be blood, sisters will be sisters regardless.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard Jinx's grunting from behind her, indicating that she came home, but also that something was wrong. Y/n turned around as soon as she felt Jinx's presence, seeing how Jinx got home, and a little kid came with her too. But that's not what Y/n was focusing at, her eyes were focused on Jinx holding her left hand in pain, her eyes were red and she looked like she was hurt.
Y/n instantly ran over to Jinx and cupped her face between her hands, looking at her eyes. Y/n already guessed that it was probably from the gray, which Y/n has been working on to get rid off as soon as she heard about it. Jinx's face was full of hurt, her eyes were red, both from the gray and the crying, which Y/n already knew about. She knew the reason for her crying, she already heard about the enforcers, including Vi, Y/n was one of the first to find out about it, since she was slowly becoming the new ruler of Zaun.
Then Y/n's eyes looked at Jinx's left hand, noticing one of her fingers missing. Her breathing became heavier from seeing how she couldn't protect Jinx, again.
"What happened?" Y/n asked as she looked at Jinx. "Why is your finger missing?"
"Vi's stupid girlfriend shot it" Jinx said with a mixture of sad and anger, as she looked away.
