I cocked my eyebrows as I read the script. I knew my manager said the director was some big shot in Singapore and had a very lofty idea he wanted to try with me, but I was not exactly buying into the script. I read it and was just not impressed with the whole medieval theme. I stared at the script harder, hoping it will make sense over time but all that happened was a flood of words just washing over me.

I groaned lightly as I put it away, wanting to take a break. Just then Book walked into my trailer, asking if I wanted to get lunch with him. I nodded eagerly, anything to get away from that damn script. He chuckled lightly as he saw the script on my table, patting my shoulders in comfort. We decided to head to our favorite eatery for lunch when we bumped into Phuwin who was eating alone. We decided to join him and he smiled cheerfully at us as he beckoned us over.

"Where's Pond?" I asked Phuwin.

"He's at filming, P Force. He ends much later today. I am already done so am just getting lunch before perusing a new script."

"Oh, you too? What show?"

"Some new and upcoming show about some dragons and what not. I am not exactly sure. My manager had shared the script mentioning the director had offered me a role believing I would be able to pull it off. I am not too sure based on what I have heard about the script so far but shall just check it out later."

I nodded absent mindedly as I was distracted by Book who came back with our food. We chatted and ate, and time passed by in a flash. Once we were done, Book had to go off for filming. I watched him go off with Phuwin by my side. We decided to sit together in a cafe and do our script reading as we had nothing else to do.

Phuwin and I were not the closest, but we had bonded really well in the last year so hanging out together was not really awkward for us. We grabbed our stuff and went to this nearby cafe that Phuwin often went to with Pond. The waitress smiled at Phuwin in recognition and gave him his usual booth seat. We both sat down, placing our orders before pulling out our scripts and placing it on the table. It was only then I realized we both had been offered the same script!

I chuckled as I realized the irony. I had wanted to reject the script but seeing that Phuwin was involved in it, maybe it would not be so bad.

"I wanted to reject the offer actually. Because the story does not appeal to me but seeing you are in the same show, maybe it would not be so bad. Filming could be fun."

"Do it with me na, P Force! My manager wants me to expand my repertoire and feels this would be a very good opportunity and does not want me to say no to it. So I cannot reject the offer but knowing you will be a part of it makes me feel more at ease already! So, do it for me please..." Phuwin begged softly.

I nodded, agreeing to do it. The smile that lit up on Phuwin's face; I chuckled at it. We sat down, pored over the script, shared our thoughts and dissected it. Suddenly, it really did not seem half as bad. I also took the time to reply some emails and cleared work with my manager. By the time we were done, it was easily 7pm! Phuwin was meeting Pond for dinner and asked if I wanted to join them. I shook my head as I had to pick up Book.

"I know you two are just good friends, but you are always so sweet, picking him up and all. Think you seem more like his boyfriend." Phuwin teased me. I blushed deeply, smacking Phuwin lightly on his arms!

"If you asked me to, I would pick you up also, but I do not want to risk Pond's wrath!"

Phuwin laughed out loud as he agreed that Pond was indeed a protective friend. Phuwin bade me goodbye when his uber came and he went off for dinner. I got into my car and went to pick Book up before I went to his home with him for dinner. As I was heading back home, I received a call from my manager who asked me if I had decided to take up the offer.

Phuwin's face came into my mind. "I will do the role." I told my manager who cheered in delight. However more than anything, I imagined Phuwin cheering at this and it tickled me more. I hung up, having reached my house and parked my car when Phuwin called me.

"P! My manager just called, asking if I was going to accept the role. I said yes. Did your manager call yet? You will be accepting it, right?"

I kept quiet for a long time when I heard Phuwin's voice flit in softly again, "P...". I started laughing as I filled him in that I had agreed to take on the role. Phuwin cheered on the phone and promised me to lunch the next time he saw me. I agreed and hung up the phone, well aware that it was the first time I agreed to do a show that did not involve me saying yes to Book or even for my own preference. It was really just for another person. Ah, I was getting too soft!
