Bakugo grunted as faint voices coaxed him back to consciousness.
"ALLMIGHT!" Recovery Girl yelled. "YOU NEED TO TAKE BETTER PRECAUTIONS FOR YOUR STUDENTS!"
"She asked for permission," AllMight responded. "It's not like they were fighting—"
"That girl leveled three feet of concrete."
"She's a smart girl," he argued. "She rarely asks me for favors; it had to be important."
Recovery Girl hummed in disagreement. Bakugo's eyes slowly opened to the same ceiling as earlier that week. Using his left elbow, he sat himself up.
"You two shouldn't yell while people are sleeping," Bakugo muttered.
"Young Bakugo—"
"YOU ARE ALWAYS SO RECKLESS!" Recovery Girl yelled. "YOU NEED TO TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR BODY!"
A muscle in Bakugo's cheek twitched as he grunted, "Whatever." His eyes shifted toward AllMight, who was awkwardly staring at Tsuki's vitals. "Why is he here? "
"She still isn't awake," AllMight muttered.
At that moment, Tsuki's finger twitched, drawing Bakugo's eyes to her. Despite having taken a full-power strike from him, she didn't look terribly injured. She made a noise and furrowed her eyebrows.
"There she is," Recovery Girl whispered. Tsuki groaned as she sat up, blinking as she looked around.
"Tch," Bakugo grunted, rolling his eyes.
"Tsuki," AllMight said as he walked over. "Are you okay?"
She blinked at him and nodded. "He didn't contact me—I'm fine."
"Did you use it—"
"Shut up, T—AllMight," she winced. "I'm fine."
"AllMight," Recovery Girl said kindly, "I can take it from here."
He hesitated. "Yeah, of course." He gave Tsuki a weak smile before turning to Bakugo, "Rest well, Young Bakugo." With a slouch, he left the room.
Recovery Girl's phone rang. "I'll be right back," she said with a smile, then left, shutting the door behind her. The room's aura grew thick as they sat in silence for about three minutes.
"Why did you give up?" Bakugo whispered, breaking the silence with an angry look. "Why did you let me hit you?"
The question lingered for a moment. "What makes you say that?" Tsuki asked.
He growled, "DON'T LIE TO ME—"
"Stop screaming," she warned. "You're seriously headache-inducing."
A vein pulsed on his forehead. "Her energy changed a lot after our fight," he observed, studying her expression. "Why did you give up?"
"I didn't want to fight you anymore," she said, staring at the palms of her hands. "I tend to do whatever I want."
"Are you saying..." he lowered his tone, "that I wasn't worth a fight?"
She sighed. "You take everything so personally. No. It had nothing to do with you."
They sat in silence for a minute.
"Did you use it?" he asked more calmly. "After you fell, did you use it—your quirk?"
She exhaled through her nose. "No."
The hairs on Bakugo's neck stood up as he recalled the feeling he had before AllMight and Mr. Aizawa appeared. "You—there was this—"
"Blood lust?" she suggested.
