Bakugo locked up the gym doors, swinging the key around his finger. They walked in silence through the school and to AllMight's office. He knocked using his knuckles.
"Young Tsuki?" he called out.
Bakugo slid open the door; they entered the room.
"You're still working?" Tsuki asked, walking over to AllMight's desk.
"Yeah, plenty of papers I gotta send out before tomorrow," he answered; Bakugo tossed the key onto his desk.
"Kamino stuff?" Bakugo queried.
AllMight nodded. A muscle in Bakugo's cheek twitched.
"Thanks for letting us stay past curfew."
"Of course," AllMight answered, "did you guys get some good sparing in?"
"Tch."
"You could say that," Tsuki laughed, "something like that."
"Your eyes are red," he commented, "I know it's probably really hard for you to be in the school—"
"I'm fine."
He gave her a sad smile, "You know, Tsuki, I always want the best for you."
She made a face at him, "Mmhm."
"And I'm sorry if I ever said something that wasn't what you needed to hear."
Tsuki let his words hang in the air for a moment.
"Don't talk about sentimental crap," he muttered, "or at least do it in private; no one cares about your weird drama."
"Shut up," she hissed at him, "you're always saying crap when it's not appropriate."
Bakugo shuffled on his feet.
"It seems like Bakugo is a different person around her," AllMight noted, "I didn't know he knew how to listen."
"Thank you," Tsuki said with a weak smile, "I appreciate that."
She stepped backwards before turning and leaving.
"You kids get home safe!"
Bakugo lifted up his arm in response, while Tsuki called out, "You too!"
Bakugo shut the door behind them. His eyes watched her hair sway back and forth as she walked, "You have so much hair."
She looked over her shoulder, slowing her pace so he could catch up to her, "Yeah, I've never cut it."
He made a face, "Never?"
"Ever." she confirmed with a laugh.
"Why?"
She shrugged, "Hair holds memories."
He looked at her closely, "Like her mom." He placed his hands in his pockets, "but if you wanna move on don't you have to be open to making new ones?"
His words lingered in her brain; she had never thought about it like that, "I like the way you think."
He scoffed, "That doesn't surprise me."
She rolled her eyes, "You're the worst."
"Then what does that make you?" he offered with a glare, "long haired freak."
She gasped, "Did you call me a freak?"
He looked at her, "You deaf or something?"
Tsuki's ear went hot, "Yeah, but.. I don't like that word."
