It's been a couple of days since what happened at happened at the party. I tried brushing it off and trying to not catch the attention of Tweeder.
He just smiled in my face and asked me if I was alright since he had no clue about what happened at the party with his ex or whoever it was. I knew a part of me wanted to say something to him and a part of me knew nothing happened and believed what Darcy was telling me. I couldn't even shake the thought that Tweeder would ever cheat on me.
He did have a little reputation and was known for it but rumors were lingering.
"Just talk to him about it," Jules said leaning against the locker. "If you haven't heard a rumor then it's not true."
It was finally a couple days after the party and we were in school. The scene from a couple nights ago were finally a blur and so were the rumors.
"Come on relax," Mox says. "Tweeder isn't like that. When he gets in a relationship and shit."
"Oh yeah why would I believe a football player and is Tweeder's best friend?" I say turning towards him and folding my arms.
"Well I swear Tweeder didn't do anything," Mox says. "If you're so worried about it just go talk to him about it. Don't overthink or overreact to him."
"I might do so," I mumbled."Are you listening to anything I'm saying?" Tweeder asked as I was snapping back into reality as I was staring off into space.
"Um," I say trying not to seem distracted. "Football?"
Tweeder rolled his eyes and sighed.
"What's going on Nyla?" Tweeder asked me.
"Nothing," I mumbled as I went to go to my bedroom and he followed me.
"Something obviously is," he says while I sat on my bed.
"Nothing Tweeder it's fine," I said.
Tweeder began pacing around the room in frustration.
"Something's wrong," he says. "It's about what happened at that party?"
We both sat in silence but I could tell he already knew the answer in my eyes.
"Nyla," Tweeder says softly as he kneels in front of me. "I would never."
"Tweeder it's just that..." I paused for a moment to look at something else and look back at him. "I'm over thinking it."
"Emmys an old flame. She's history and she doesn't even go to West Canaan anymore."
"Then why has there been rumors that you slept with her when we were going on shit?"
"Because people love to make shit up Nyla. People don't want us together hell this whole town doesn't even want us together, but fuck them honestly Nyla. And if you believe that then maybe we just need some time apart."
"Tweeder wait," I say quickly standing up.
"I don't want to end things with you Nyla," Tweeder says hugging me closely.
"I'm sorry," I whispered.
"I love you," Tweeder says sounding hesitant.
"I love you too," I said and pulled him into a kiss."So you two just made up?" Darcy asked me.
It was the end of cheer practice and it was time for us to go home.
"Yeah," I said as I slung my bag over my shoulder.
"See I told you there's nothing to worry about," Darcy says while nudging me.
"Tweeder's sweet Ny," Lily says. "I think you're lucky to have him."
"Yeah," I say weirdly. "I am too."
"I mean he's done a whole three sixty ever since you came into town and you two started dating."
"Yeah," I said. "I guess I changed Tweeder."A/N: I'm sorry this is short!
