The Wait Game-Varsity Blues

The next morning, the sun peeped through my window causing me to wake up. I couldn't even move because I was wrapped in Tweeder's arms.
"Tweeder," I said trying to push him off of me.
"Mhm," he mumbled pulling me close. "Five more minutes."
"I have to get up," I giggled.
Tweeder didn't respond for a moment and he finally let me get up.
"Thank you," I said and kissed him on the cheek.
I heard a knock at the door and I went to go answer it.
I opened the door and there was Jules standing there on the porch.
"Well hello," she greeted me sarcastically. "Heard you were having a wild time last night."
I rolled my eyes and she came inside the house.
I grabbed a nearby shirt and put it on since I realized I was only in my bra and underwear.
"Whatever," I mumbled.
Tweeder came out the room with only his pants on while making his way to the kitchen.
"A very wild time," Jules laughed while looking at Tweeder. "I think we have a lot to talk about."
"Yeah basically nothing," I mumbled.
"You know me and Mox were gonna hang out today," she says. "You're more welcome to come."
"Sure I don't mind tagging along," I said with a smile.
"Tweeder you wanna join?" Jules asked.
"Nah I'm good," he declined while putting a shirt on. "Gonna hang with Lance and Billy Bob for a while."
He made his way over towards me and kissed me on the cheek.
"Love you," he whispered in my ear and left.
I heard his truck engine roar to life and drove off.
"Ok you gotta tell me everything that happened," Jules says shaking my shoulder. "I mean if you want but I'm dying to know what happened."

"So you had sex with Tweeder?" Jules says in disgust.
Mox looked back at the both of weirdly before turning his eyes back on the road.
"Well," I said trying to search for words. "Yeah."
"Gross," she says and fake gags.
"I mean nothin' wrong with...sex," Mox says.
"With Tweeder yes," she says shaking her head.
"Oh definitely wrong with that," he says.
"Why is having sex with Tweeder so bad?" I asked and the whole car went silent.
"If you listen to things about Tweeder they might be true," Mox says.
I settled back in my seat for a moment. I stayed silent for the reminder of the car ride until we reached our destination.
We all got out of the car and Jules went inside to get us a table but Mox pulled me aside to talk to me.
"I'm not tryna scare you but I'm warning you," Mox says in a stern voice. "Tweeder is a good guy, but his mind wanders and so does his dick and eyes of course. But I see you and Tweeder getting a little serious and hell who knows you might be the one. But when things get too serious, he likes to...you know not work things out when it comes to a relationship and Tweeder's gonna have moments where he messes with your mind. I'm just telling you this because I care about you Ny, not to scare you."
Mox's words hit me like a ton of bricks. I knew who Tweeder was and how is, and of course all the warnings that were given to me.
But I fell in too deep with Tweeder already. I loved him a lot and felt if he cheated on me I won't be strong enough to leave him.
"Thanks Mox," I say and gave him a hug. "You're real sweet."
"Aww shucks really?" Mox says mockingly.
I laughed at him and hit him on the shoulder.
"Come on let's go inside," I say. "I'm hungry."

The weekend was over and Monday came around. Tweeder was nowhere to be found since I haven't seen him all day. I felt like Tweeder was avoiding me a little bit and I haven't seen or talked to him since he left my house Saturday morning.
I started thinking about Mox's warning and was scared it might've been true of course.
"Hey you seem off today," Darcy says after cheer practice. "You know it was like you were doing all your cheers good but you were distant. You ok?"
"Oh yeah I'm ok," I say giving her a half smile.
"Are you and Tweeder ok?" She asked me.
"Yeah I'm sure of it," I say.
"Is he picking you up?"
"No I think he had something to do."
"Oh ok," Darcy says. "Lance can give you a ride. I don't want you walking by yourself and it's dark."
"Thanks," I say accepting the offer.
"Hey Ny," I heard one of the cheerleaders Kate call. "You know I'm saying this because I care about you, it's just a rumor but I heard Tweeder was taking someone to the movies."
I felt my heart drop to my ass and felt my anger rise but I kept calm.
"Kate will stop?" Darcy scoffed. "Tweeder's not gonna do that, be mature and stop making rumors or getting rumors. Jesus that's childish as hell."
Kate just shrugged and shook her head.
"Well I'm just warnin' her about ol' Charlie Tweeder, you know how he is," Kate says. "I just hopes she knows how Tweeder rolls and don't want to see her hurt."
"Whatever," Darcy says. "Don't listen to her Ny. It's not worth it, remember that."
I didn't even say anything and felt the tears welding in my eyes but managed to stay strong.
